Ok this is the first question. I had a name in mind but someone said I should change it to something more notable. Any tips in the Direction or should I just leave it to my own mind. Also any tips for keeping it active, things for a lowbie guild to do together to build it up. Also how should I controle the bank?
(sorry if this is in the wrong spot)

The most popular way to name guilds is to have an adjective followed by a noun, anything from <Mushy Bananas> to <Deadly Soldiers>. If you have a theme for your guild, like all druids, it could be something like <Bears Boomkin and Trees>. Still others try to go for comical value, my personal favorite are the "sister" guilds <OMGLASERSPEWPEWPEW> and <OMGKITTENSMEWMEWMEW>.
As far as keeping it active, the best suggestion I can offer is recruit, recruit, recruit. Help the lower-leveled members of your guild to convince them to stay, but don't get discouraged when people do.
Lastly, unless you personally know all the members of your guild, it's probably good to put at least a few restrictions on the guild bank. Personally, I have my guild bank set to 1 withdrawl per day and 1g available for repairs, but of course if you feel you want to be more strict or more lax that's your decision. :)

Think about how you wanted your guild master to be in the past; act like that to an extent.
Do not be a pushover.
Do not show favorism. It will be alright for family and close in real life friends.
Sometimes you need to be an ass; so be an ass.
Do not feel bad when you have to kick somebody out of the guild.
Open recruitment is sometimes not the best.
Where do you plan to go with your guild? How will you get there?
Any guidelines, outlines of your target? Remember them, develop them over time.
Form Alliances with other guilds; make sure that your 'new' members have their matters with last guilds settled.
When people are kicked out of a guild or leave due to tensions, they tend to make up lies about it.
Do not bash any other person, player, or guild, spec, or anything if you have had not had first hand experience with it yourself.
No my friend's cousin said that his friend's brother said that warlocks are overpowered, etc, none of that; first hand experience only!
If you plan on raiding, take in your guild's loot system ideals. Not everyone likes DKP.
Recruit for personality, maturness, skill over class.
Active or not? Rather the quality players or the people who spam guild chat and yell at trusted members all the time?
Usually your veteran members are your good members, do anything it takes to keep them. Let them know you are open to ideas.
When there is a problem with a member in your guild for actions outside the guild, handle the reports, investigate, take names, talk and discuss with others.
People like open GMs, who care!
Real Life is GREATHER than World of Warcraft; remember that.
Emergencies happen, do not think the person is lying.
All kinds of people play, your best member may be a 53 year old guy or a 11 year old kid. You never know.
The older people are not the most mature sometimes.
Set standards of what you want your guild to be like, and stick with them.
