*Bleach Spoilers Below*
I recently started watching Bleach. It breaks my heart though, especially when Ichigo's mom died, all the feels... It has a way of tugging at my heart strings, maybe that's just because I've experienced the loss of a loved one and the difficult situations it creates, so I can relate.
It's a good anime.

Just wait, your mind will be blown about 60 episodes in. It only gets better and better (if you aren't counting the fillers anyway, especially the Bount arc.. it just flat out sucked) the further you get into the show. The show has 320 something episodes but more are coming. It's temporarily cancelled because it caught up to the manga (which is still continuing every week).
My favorite anime by far <3

Yeah well wait if you ever get caught up in the manga....the revelation about just who his mom really is will make you groan and realize how far down hill everything has gone.

Just finished the final Gantz chapter. I felt like it ended a little abruptly, they could have done another two or three chapters to give us some character resolution rather than just showing Kato and Kei collapsing on the beach with their women
That was a great series though, and the second longest manga I've been following. I'm gonna miss my monthly dose of boobs and exploding body parts.
Also I liked that we got to see the two surviving vampires again. I always wondered what became of them.

Just watched ep. 12 of Aku no Hana. This show is amazing, I have absolutely no idea where it's leading me as we go into the final episode. I need more shows like this.

I did a marathon of watching Aku no Hana yesterday, and... meh. It really felt like they are stretching the story thin over the 13 episodes, and it's not super compelling to begin with. And on top of that all, why is the only non-black haired person in the entire city completely *!@#ed up? It's no mistake that she's a red-head, at the very least. But seriously, Episode 8 has the first 5 minutes of the actual episode devoted to two people slooooooooowlyyyyyyyy shuffling their way across the city. And nothing else.
The story was neat, but it was poorly executed in my opinion. And I'm certainly not a fan of the art style.

I actually really, really enjoyed Aku no Hana, I think the pacing was brilliant and it was a show based on character interaction and development rather than flashy action scenes and fanservice.
I also think the art style helped the overall meaning of the story and was done beautifully (all the BGs were stunning). It's a downright shame that it will probably not get a second season because of everyones hang up on the rotoscoping.

You can execute an atmosphere without the snail's pace brought forward in the anime. It just really felt crappy to me, especially now after I read the manga, and the slow trodding pace doesn't really exist there, and I feel like it works better that way. I'm not asking for flashy action scenes or fanservice. On the contrary, I want to feel like the story is progressing each episode, and there were times where it felt like it wasn't.
I can understand the reasoning behind some of the pacing, but that doesn't mean I agree with it. You can showcase the melancholy of a situation in ways other than a 5 minute walk. Even without voice acting.
As for the art, the backgrounds
were
beautiful. The animation does not fit with them however. It just didn't sit well with me in the least. Personal preference I suppose.
Overall though, if they do produce a second season, I'll certainly watch it, because the story is quite excellent, and in the meantime, I'll finish reading the manga, because that's just my style ;)

Just bought a near mint condition copy of the old Geneon box set of Higurashi for only 75$. Seems pricey, but usually the used versions go for 160-250$ depending on the price.

Any idea when the show will come back? I hit walls when they stopped it where they did.
Really gotta find a way to read the manga i guess. Just don't have any way of doing it.

I've heard rumors of a Septemer/October continuation of the series. The voice actress for Lucy quit and it was getting dangerously close to catching up with the manga. It'll be back ;)

You'd be surprised. If she's not good enough there could be an uproar. People are passionate like that.
Any particular make/model of android tablet?
