Actually, much simpler way of doing it. Open your interface menu, go to the combat tab, and tick the "Auto Self Cast" box, default key is alt.

Well, every time Blizzard reset it to default settings, it unticks the auto cast, wouldn't blame you for not knowing if you hadn't found out :P
