Well, if you can get a good dungeon run group or have no problems with noob players, then get instancing. Try to get the 70s organised into running instances maybe once a week. Start off with normal level 70 instances, move onto lower level heroics (Shattered Halls, Blood Furnace, etc.) and progress from there. I recommend going for rep to get epic quality rewards and maybe going good with your tradeskills.
If you can't do those, or can't do any at a particular time, then do arena/bgs, and get the pvp gear.

Yeah, that's probably not the best choice for an early heroic. ;-)
The easiest heroics are probably Slave Pens, Ramparts, and Mechanar.
Obviously, you should be looking to run the Kara sequence to get attuned, which doesn't involve any heroic runs. Doing that first will be good experience. If you can't handle non-heroic Steamvaults, Shadow Labyrinth, and Arcatraz, you shouldn't be considering heroics.

I haven't actually been to Shattered Halls heroic, just repeating what a guildie told me, thanks 4 the warning. (He probably found it easy because he was a prot pally >.<)
