Your build has everything an unholy tank would need, the only thing that would prevent you from tanking anything is gear.
The only thing I could point out is that I don't think you need scent of blood, you could try putting those points into finishing off virulence and then extras elsewhere like outbreak or blood-caked blade and then seeing how your RP generation goes, if you do find yourself starved, go ahead and put the points back.
I think as you've seen, as long as you have a 5/5/5 base DK tanking then only really needs a few extras from whatever tree you're speccing in. The rest goes towards dps which is our threat gen.

Does not hurt at all. In fact, someone has made the argument previously in this thread that 5/8/5 should be the base build as the reduced attack speed from Imp Icy Touch is a form of damage mitigation since you aren't being hit with physical damage as fast.

I don't think there is anything wrong with using Scourge Strike over obliterate Its there to replace it. Yes it says it does 60% weapon damage instead of the 100% of obliterate, but don't forget that it is being converted into Shadow Damage which ignores armor so in the end, you are probably going to be doing more damage with a scourge strike than a mitigated obliterate.

Point to mistakes? I've gone through and while I might have missed a subtle change or two in an ability, I believe the basics are still correct.
I've only linked to the abilities so people can point to them and see exactly what they currently do, not what they did when I originally posted so I can't have missed much there...
Edit:
The only things I've found were that on a few comments about glyphs, I didn't update my text saying what they would do. Such as for Horn of Winter. But again, I linked the glyph so people would be able to see the most up to date. I'm not seeing the 80% you talking about.

Hey
I have a Lv 70 DK now, and i am going to tank my way through northrend. With the gear I got now, while in frost presence (buffed only with horn of winter) i have
13985 HP
13756 armor (56.58% dmg mitigation)
10.89% dodge
12.44% parry
and I have 113 extra defence rating, which gives me about 1.8% reduced chanse of being critted
my question is, with a propper tank spec, can i start tanking nexus and UK normals now? if not, what stats do i need more off?
thanks in advance

When you're going through leveling content, any defense helps but it is not 100% required. You don't need to worry about being uncrittable. That said, if you can get your hands on the
cobalt set
, that is a perfect starter set for northrend tanking for you to fill out with quest rewards and dungeon drops.
The stats you linked look fine though.

Yes. Be sure to pick up some of the quest tanking blues, Borean has a few that are awesome.
I'd argue against the Cobalt set, I'd rather you picked up pieces of the Tempered Saronite Set instead, although you can only use them starting from 74 i think.
And Nystali, suggest linking to this thread:

Just thought you might want to add this combo to your guide, I use this for group pulls as a frost tank
D&D
->
Icy Touch
->
Pestilence
->
Blood Tap
->
Howling Blast
It activates
Blade Barrier
as soon as pestilence hits and builds a lot of initial AoE threat.
I only use this at the start of fights though as i relies on a 1 min CD on Blood Tap.
If Blood Tap is on cooldown i would recommend:
D&D
->
Icy Touch
->
Plague Strike
->
Pestilence
This throws all your diseases on the mobs. You could even tab to another enemy after the D&D runes are off CD and do:
Pestilence
->
Howling Blast
Its sometimes fun to just Tab -> Pest -> HB -> Tab -> Pest -> HB -> Tab ...etc but remember you wont get the 20% haste buff from
Icy Touch
if you do this and you are specced for
Icy Talons

I started off with the build the OP mentions for frost then after some problems with threat I i tinkered a little bit and this is what I came up with.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jcEZGxxtGcdohR0Rsx0g
This one seems to give me more tps then the other one (thanks to the extra 9% crit for obliterate and the extra ~450 ap from bladed armor)
Other then that I still use the rotations and everything and dont have a problem in the world tanking heroics and raids.

Quick question:
If i have icy touch disease and plague strike disease on a target, then uses pestillience, but the other target i am fighing is immune to frost (like an elemental which is immune to one school but not the rest) would pestillience only spread the plague strike disease?
