i fish this spot frequently, but 9 times out of 10 i am competing with another person for the Pools of Fire. sadly, they are not always alliance so i cant attack them to shoo them off.

the Pools of Fire spawn in Hyjal too.

Keep in mind that:

If everyone farms the same place as you suggest in this thread, prices automatically drop to the ground
2000g per hour is misleading: it all depends on YOUR server's economy. Can be more, can be (a lot) less.
Volatiles drop from some level 81 mobs too in Mount Hyjal, consider farming them if you're uber-85

Can you level up fishing by doing this? ie, my current main has a fishing level of about 10. If I fish in these pools, will the fishing level up?

EDIT: I just tried this. I got about 10 volatiles in a few minutes. Also, I am leveling fishing while doing it. Please delete your post so I can continue to be the only one on my server fishing.

EDIT 2: First 4 pools = 21 fires. They sell for 20-21g ea on my server, so that's roughly 400g in less than 10 minutes of work. The only problem I can see is that it takes a while for them to respawn. At least I'm able to either farm the elementals in the area or continue leveling my fishing without getting volatiles.
