1 computer, 2 accounts, different addons, proceed how?

Hope this is the right place to post this...

My boyfriend and I used to play on laptops, each our own. A few days ago we bought a new computer, which is way better in performance than either of the laptops, not to mention it's got this huge screen that makes fore more visibility and way more fun in the game. He's already set up his account to his liking, with all the addons he needs/wants. Now I'd like to set mine to my liking, but I use different addons.

I was wondering if it's as simple as just configure the addons through the addon button on the starting screen? So all addons are on the computer, in the same addon file, but we each only have the ones ticked that we need on our seperate accounts? If this works, does that mean it'll stick that way, or would we have to configure them again at every start-up? How does that work with the WTF file?

The only other option we could come up with was installing the game twice, so we have seperate addon and WTF files, but that's so much hassle...

There is a drop down box at the top of the Addons screen that allows you to select what addons you want for what character.

I'm aware of the dropdown box, just not of it's effects on 2 accounts... So basically my question boils down to: if on my account I configure the addons through the drop down box to my liking, this has no effect whatsoever on my boyfriend's account and his configuration, even when I select the tab "All"?

Thanks, those were the answers I was looking for! I thought it worked that way, but my boyfriend wasn't convinced. Yes, I'll show him this thread ;-)
