Since patch 6.0.2 I was suffering more and more frequent disconnections from WoW, but I found the solution. I'm posting it here in case anyone else has been getting the same problem and needs help, but first a bit more about the problem:
The DCs were followed by blue screens with error messages. Well I opened numerous tickets and tried about 100 things, like resetting UI, closing background programs, flushing DNS etc etc etc. Whether the error messages on the blue screens changed as result of any of these steps I'm afraid I can't tell you as I was ignoring them... until I ran out of things to try from GM responses so I decided to read the error message on the blue screen in front of me: it said 'IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL' so I googled it and followed the steps in this video (WARNING: if you follow the steps in this video, make sure you watch the whole video 1st before taking any of the steps and make a note of the steps if you need to, as otherwise you may struggle to get your PC booting up again):
After this I still had just as many DCs, but the error message on the blue screen had changed from 'IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL' to 'SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION', so I googled that as well and I found an accepted answer to a forum question about it which was just to reset BIOS to default settings. I found online somewhere that this can be done by going to 'UEFI setup' (on this PC by pressing 'del' when PC is booting up on option screen that appears during boot). Then I just went to the tab at the far right which has 'Save Changes and Exit' as the 1st option and there was an option to restore defaults (I don't remember the exact name, but it was the bottom option of the 4, probably 'Restore UEFI Defaults'). I clicked this and then 'Yes'.
Then the PC wouldn't boot up, so I had to start it in safe mode by entering troubleshooting after the automatic 'Diagnosing Problems' message popped up and the blue screen came up and then going to advanced troubleshooting (I think it was this) and selecting the restart which allows more options to be chosen and then safe mode is option 4.
Once it had booted up in safe mode I restarted and since then I've been playing WoW for hours now without a single DC (edit: it's now Decmber 20th, which is over a month later and not a single dc).
I know I didn't use the most technical terminology there, but I wanted to share that in case it's of use to someone, as I say. Please let me know if it helps you.
