Whispers of the Old Gods
is Hearthstone’s latest expansion, going live today, April 26th. As the expansion is a playful interpretation of Old Gods lore from Warcraft, we thought it would be fun to highlight how the cards are related to WoW.
C'Thun, Yogg-Saron, Y'shaarj, and N'Zoth are new legendary cards and they are accompanied by WoW bosses from

Yogg-Saron is one of the most memorable boss encounters in Warcraft, featuring
Cabeza de Mimiron
as a reward from Yogg 0 and dramatic visions in Yogg’s brain of key lore moments for Wrath of the Lich King.
: Yogg was the most challenging Old God for the Titan-Forged to subdue; Ulduar became his prison. Over time, Yogg found a way to bestow the Curse of Flesh on the inhabitants of Azeroth and trap his Titan-forged guardians. Related card: . Learn more about

N’Zoth and Cataclysm
N’Zoth is notable as we haven’t seen him face-to-face in Warcraft. He was first revealed in Hearthstone instead, and was later confirmed to be involved in the Emerald Nightmare, Highborne transformation, and corruption of Deathwing.
: N’Zoth’s card art is the first glimpse of this Old God. He’s trapped in an underwater prison and does not look too happy about that. Speculation during Cataclysm pointed to N’Zoth being imprisoned somewhere in the Abyssal Depths (

Various branches of the Twilight's Hammer dwell deep beneath the towering form--considered the cult's foremost command center--along with their twisted leader, Cho'gall. There, he and his servants conspire to bring the Old Gods' apocalyptic visions to fruition by bleeding Azeroth of all sanity, hope, and life.
The ravings of some of the cult's more vocal members have been easy to dismiss as mere fancy in the past - but not once one has seen the Bastion of Twilight, the embodiment of the Hammer's fascination with new forms and transcending earthly bodies. The entrance to the bastion sits at the peak of the Twilight Citadel, atop a twisted elementium spire that points at the sky. Here, a portal waits to take the greatest Twilight aspirants...where? No one can say for certain.
What is clear is that the Leader of the Twilight's Hammer, Cho'gall, directs his forces from this dread place. And, whatever the location, it is certain to be near to the Old Gods who dwell beneath Azeroth, and give fruit to the darkest dreams of the living.”
The final boss of
El Bastión del Crepúsculo
