As many players venture into Classic Azeroth for the first time, we're highlighting the most popular items in our database from Classic WoW launch! Bags, wands, and axes all make an appearance in our item report for August 28th.
Do note that the following lists are based on Wowhead traffic, and reflect most popular
items
not overall content in the game. People usually go to Wowhead when they need help with something, such as a rare item with a confusing source. With over a million WoW players using Wowhead yesterday, we think this is a fairly accurate representation of user information trends, and we had fun doing rankings for BFA guides so we've started it up again for Classic. But if you've encountered a item page that you feel has a particularly hilarious comment, or would be useful to other new players, share them in the comments!

Early Bags
One of WoW's most perennial problems since Vanilla first launched all the way in 2004 is bag space - Having enough bag slots is vital to ensure you not only can complete many quests, but make money from items you can sell to the vendors. And imagine those with gathering professions, having to manage bag slots for both their quests, vendor items and profession items!

Something I'm personally seeing with Classic is guildies sending over stacks of Linen so Tailors can make bags for everyone - I've personally crafted over 50 Linen Bags for guildies and counted! Regardless to say I no longer need Linen Cloth to level my tailoring.

Thunderfury is one of the 3 Legendary weapons players can obtain in Classic WoW, together with
Sulfuras, Mano de Ragnaros
and the many versions of
Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian
. Although you cannot obtain Thunderfury until Phase 3 of Classic WoW, it is already used to spam chats.
