Hunter "Caster Pets" Glitch Seems To Be Fixed in Classic WoW

One of the main attractions for
Cazador
s in Classic WoW is the ability to collect many different pets with unique attributes. However, back in Vanilla WoW, some Hunter pets were notably inferior to others, and became known as Caster Pets. Thanks to Petopia's tireless research, it has been revealed that some of these pets have been fixed for Classic WoW!

What are "Caster Pets?"
Hunter pets in Classic do have the same attributes across the board when at the same level. In Vanilla WoW, some very specific Hunter pets have inferior attributes to similar members of their pet family - They sacrifice useful stats for pets such as health, armor and DPS and instead have higher amounts of Intellect and Spirit, stats that are not really useful for pets. Because of this stat discrepancy in favor of stats that usually favor caster specializations, these specific pets became known as called Caster Pets.
Caster Pets usually have between 80 and 95% of a normal pet's useful stats. You are able to repair some of their shortcomings via pet talents such as
Gran aguante
to the point where they're comparable to normal pets, but it is usually better to just tame a normal pet at this point.

The Caster Pet issue affected few pets, usually already caster-oriented pets like certain Wind Serpents and some Spiders. Although none of the caster pets have unique colors, it can be more difficult to find non-caster pets with a similar color (as an example, this applies to

Alevín de Hakkar
, located at a much higher level and deep within a dungeon). You can always check

Caster Pets in Classic WoW! Although these are some of the earliest Caster Pets you're able to encounter in Classic WoW, this adds the hope that this glitch was fixed for all of them in Classic.
