The Heroes of the Storm panel started off by saying that Li-Li and Murky have the highest win rates.
The team then recapped everything that happened in Heroes of the Storm this year.
The game moved from alpha to a full launch.
Heroes of the Storm launched into eSports.
11 new heroes were released this year for 43 total.
4 new maps were added this year for 9 total.
The team then talked a little about the win rates of heroes. The goal for all heroes is 45%-55%.
The Lost Vikings: 57%
In terms of balance, the team is also going to be looking at the meta here at Blizzcon.
The team felt Uther was a little too strong so Uther will be receiving some changes in the next patch.
Divine Shield's cooldown will be increased to 90 seconds.
Eternal Devotion's duration has been decreased to 8 seconds.
Cho'Gall has 50% health than any warrior but removes two people from the map. The team found that games ended in a snowball most of the time either for or against the Cho'Gall team.
The early and mid game balance has changed including the recent death timer increase announcement.
There are plans to include a talent that makes Gazlowe's turret charge a laser while Gazlowe charges his laser. In addition, there are plans to make his scrap generation more active.
They want to make Nova have more damage solutions. There's a possible Snipe talent that makes it stack damage every time you consecutively hit a snipe.
Tychus needs to define his role as an assassin better. He should be an anti-warrior assassin so they're going to try to accomplish this by moving giant killer earlier.
The developers have said that 80% of games are even on MMR, the 20% is a huge concern.
At launch, MMR was inflated by the EXP increase. New players had a 38% win rate, but now they have a 48% win rate.
They are rebuilding the matchmaker. The current one is from Starcraft 2 and is not working for Heroes. The new version should be coming out this year.
The team is working on improving MMR accuracy.
Improvements to team MMR are coming.
Personal performance will be affected by your individual performance.
MMR will be hero based as well.
Preseason will likely continue for a long time. Ranked play will see changes such as bans in the drafting lobby.
A death recap screen will be coming as well as the removal of talent gating. The number of free heroes will be increasing to 10.
