Is crafted gear going to scale up?
The short answer is yes. Still trying to figure out the right way. We may use Oblitirum, maybe a new type. But yes, we want professions to make relevant gear even in 7.2.
Any plans to address issues with low population realms?
We've talked about it, it's not good to limit people. We want to do a realm of connected realms to combine certain realms into a larger, mega realm.
Now that Gnomes have been playing with the light... would Gnomes maybe experiment with nature magic, becoming Druids and Shaman? Or Paladins?

Sombra
Sombra's Backstory
Sombra is 30 years old
She came from the Omnicrisis event in Mexico where the war destroyed much of country's infrastructure
She became a hacker to survive as a kid, stealing money to get by in a war-torn Mexico
The Soldier 76 short, "Hero," first introduced the revolutionary group that took Sombra in as a child: Los Muertos
Sombra discovered a conspiracy in the heart of the events of Mexico--unfortunately it backfired on her, she was overconfident, and she had to go underground where she augmented herself to become part computer
At this point she joined Talon where she currently works
Sombra is a perfect example of an unreliable narrator, who is a shade of gray: she's not black and white, she's meant to be mysterious
Concept Art
Sombra started out with the idea of a throwing dagger/knives hero. Eventually the cyberpunk aesthetic was tried and it was a hit internally:
She was supposed to be very agile, stealthy: flashy

Hearthhead's Holiday Giveaway
We saw a lot of things this year--the meta changed dozens of times, Hearthstone continued to grow as an esport, and we all recently got acquainted to losing games because of the fabulous .
Perhaps most importantly, however, is the introduction of Winter Veil to Hearthstone. Since Great-father Winter and his friends arrived to the game, we decided what's a better way to show our appreciation for the introduction of holidays to Hearthstone than a huge giveaway! For the remainder of the year, we're giving away Battle.net codes and a brand new iPad Air 2 to participants in our first ever Hearthhead scavenger hunt.
Have a happy new year and remember to stay warm this holiday season. And as usual, may the odds be ever in your favor--both for this contest

How to Win
Altvater Winter
needs our help! In his rush to bring Winter Veil to Hearthstone, he lost all of his candy canes--they're hidden all over our database and you'll have to find them before holidays are over. We'll provide you the clues, but you'll have to do the rest of the sleuthing on your own.
For every clue you answer by visiting its respective database entry, you'll get entered into the contest through unlocking a special holiday Hearthhead achievement. The achievement can be earned up to ten times meaning you have ten chances to win.
Participating is as easy as reading the riddles and going on a hunt through Hearthhead's database while logged in. Use your own resources and get creative while looking for the answers; try searching for various keywords found in the clues and remember that Google is always your friend.
And if you get stuck, don't despair--some of them are hard while some are easy, so everyone should be able to get at least one entry into this contest!
Here are the ten clues for the ten presents
:
One of the worst feelings is when your gives you this guy if you have any spells in your hand. How fitting then is it that, according to the flavor text, he rides on as well!
This daily quest can be completed anywhere--even against friends and practice mode. The 100 gold it gives makes it a welcome addition to any player's quest log.
This guy isn't really that
annoying
, he's probably just misunderstood. All he wants to do is hang out with the other mechs!
Maybe someday they'll make a more
stable
version of this card. But hey, RNG is fun sometimes, right?
This card is probably one of the most popular cards in the game. It's probably not because of his personality, though--his name is a parody on one of Marvel's villains and he is a pretty evil 7 mana drop that can easily secure a win.
Maybe 's line should be changed to "everybody get out of here" after this card's changes virtually removed him from the meta by making him unable to be played with
charge
for an overwhelming combo. Don't worry, we're sure they'll come back to torment us.
If you're a fan of legendaries, this legendary might be right up your alley: summoning a legendary whenever you use your hero power? Sign me up.
Let them eat
cake
if they don't like this card back that came out last April.
This card isn't a
huge
deal or anything, but its golden animation is epic: it opens its mouth to show a gnome it devoured whole. What a
beast
.
The League of Explorers had some innovative boss battles, like this one where players were forced to run from Troggs in a Mine Shaft.
Solve these ten clues to receive ten entries and ten chances to win the contest!
If you get stuck on a number you can always ask your friends, Google, or even your guildmates. You can also read the comments here at Hearthhead and see if anyone has added another tip! Just make sure you don't post the exact answers here on Hearthhead or you'll be disqualified and temporarily banned until the hunt is over.

:
An homage to Bad Robot Productions, this lil
rascal
may have been quite demanding to craft but he made up for it by being very adorable.
If you like conga lines and you aren't too bothered by the fact that it's not a toy, this item might be right up your alley. Plus it's always cool when items long since datamined finally show up on the servers unannounced.
Rogues have a lot of good
fortune
coming their way in Legion. From finally getting to live out their fantasies as Outlaws to this unique off-hand, there's really no reason for them to dread the expansion.
With Dalaran coming back in Legion, it makes sense Blizzard finally made an toy to help players
shine
their shoes--we wouldn't want poor Sheddle Glossgleam to get overwhelmed!
If you're good at swimming and don't particularly fear sharks, this
majestic
mount might be right up your alley to go farm. Unfortunately he drops from a rare. The good news? It's a promised drop, even if everyone's still camping him despite how long he's been in the game for.
Don't worry, we won't spoil Star Wars for you--instead we'll just remind you about this blue two-handed light
sabre
exists for fans of the force who are Alliance warriors.
In addition to being one of the most powerful legendaries in Hearthstone, this
archmage
appears in World of Warcraft as a magnificent statue built in his image in Dalaran.
Do you miss BlizzCon? Well, maybe you'll get lucky and this mission will show up for you in your Garrison. It's not quite as cool as hanging out with your guildmates IRL, but at least you can be a
hero
.
If you don't find hunting rare pets a total
boar
, this guy might be up your alley. Added in Mists of Pandaria, he's nice for any hunter looking for a ghostly pet.
It's too bad this fish is out of season right now in Azeroth. You'll have to wait until March to taste it again--or to earn
Ozeanograph
if you haven't caught it before!
Solve these ten clues to receive ten entries and ten chances to win the contest!
If you get stuck on a number you can always ask your friends, Google, or even your guildmates. It's also important to know that a clue will always refer to a specific item or NPC--meaning if it's a mount, we want the item you learn the mount from, not the spell for it. My question is about Alleria. Her group never got to see that the Orcs weren't as evil as everyone thought, does that mean they will be part of the factions conflict?
No. But when we finally discover them in Legion, the way you view WoW will change. Nothing to do with that, but amazing stuff is in store.
Is there any hope of sub races, such as Taunka or Dark Iron Dwarves being playable in the future?
There were tens of thousands of votes for this one, I'll take it. So our mission is to sell the class and the race--the fantasy. So the easy answer is yes, we'd love to do it. But the more difficult answer is how will we do it? We'll be working on it.

Introducing Mechanized Constructs
There have been a ton of new cards previewed lately by Blizzard and today they covered another one of their themes: mechs. These cards are built on synergy, creating a unique subset of cards that benefit from creating a "mech" deck.
There have also been several exclusive card previews, including
IGN's revealing look
at the new mech card: a legendary called
Foe Reaper 4000
.
If you needed a recap, we have tons of Goblins vs Gnomes information in our BlizzCon 2014 coverage:
Blizzard's
official announcement
explained there would be over 120 cards
The Fireside Chat also held
tons of information
, covering everything from a spectator mode to an explanation of how the theme was chosen
Dawn of the Mechs
Goblins and gnomes are notorious inventors who create incredible mechanized constructs by combining their keen intellect, some spare parts, and a little elbow grease. While goblin mechanical constructs may have a penchant for exploding and gnomish devices may turn you into a chicken, sometimes these pint-sized inventors manage to get something functioning as intended. Inconceivable!
From harvest golems to fel-spewing cannons, these “mechs” that have been engineered by both goblins and gnomes play a vital role in the struggle to see which diminutive race of engineers ultimately comes out on top. The top of what remains to be seen.
Mechs synergize well with each other—you could say they don’t like to be a-part!
If there’s one thing goblins and gnomes do well, it’s making sure their individual mechs are compatible with the other mechs they build, regardless of what the end result may look like. In Goblins vs Gnomes, many of the new “Mech”-themed cards synergize with other Mech cards, so expect Mechs to bolster other Mechs’ battle capability, assist your Hero, and other zany effects! Mech matters!

Liveblog
Everyone on staff is a huge Warcraft fan--they've played old school Warcraft, lost days of their lives to World of Warcraft.
Warcraft has so many great characters and story arcs which made it hard to actually find a story of a suitable length for a movie.
Original movie was very Alliance-biased, put Orcs in a more negative light. It was important this time for them to show both heroes and the conflict.
Feels like a live action movie, the camera follows around from their perspective. The VFX for Orcs were hard to nail down, they needed them to be as genuine as humans. They used a lot of motion capture.
They built sets, locations.
They created a training session for people to become Orcs--actors had to learn how to become a 500lb creature, nuanced Orcs. Were they noble Orcs or aggressive ones?
They didn't want to do motion capture for Garona.
One of the actors--Robert Kazinsky--actually had over 500 days /played, Death's Demise, and more. He was in a top 100 World guild!
Took months of training to learn motion capture. The actors also had to learn how to walk differently, get more in touch with their Orc side.
