With the
13. Geburtstag von WoW
ongoing, we gained access to World Bosses of Old via the daily quest
Die Originale
. You can defeat the original, Blasted Lands version of Lord Kazzak, the blue dragon Azuregos, and one of the four Green Dragons of Nightmare (Ysondre, Lethon, Taerar and Emeriss).
Quite a few transmogs went away with these World Bosses were removed, back when the world changed during the Cataclysm. Now, players have another chance of snagging some of these unique pieces!
Remember the event runs through November 30th, and we don't know whether it's coming back in the future, so you might want to snag one of these pieces of loot while you can!
These unique items are transmoggable by people from all levels! They scale from 1 to 110 so they're accessible even to that bank alt of yours, even though the original pieces were level 60 loot.
You can kill the world bosses once a day on all your alts to help increase your chances of getting your desired item.
You can coin them once a day as well, if you have coins to spare. Remember though, those use
Siegel des verheerten Schicksals
, so make sure you aren't missing any gear from other bosses you might want!
On the list below, we listed what specializations can transmog their weapons to the weapon transmogs from these bosses. If you don't have a compatible weapon type, you can still use it in the future - check the boss drop pages to see what specializations can loot those!
Bewahrer des Bernsteinsiegels
This staff has a blue core with blue and black feathers. It is a recolor of similar staves such as
Stab des Ogermagus
(green core with blue and yellow feathers) and
Agamaggans Kiel
(yellow core with green and red feathers).
You can get a similar recolor with
Runenverzierter Stab
from Inscription. What makes the Kazzak version special, though, is that it has a native white glow by it's core! This glow is not overwritten by enchants and gives this staff a really special hue.
Specializations that can transmog their artifacts to this:
Restoration and Balance Druids
Arcane and Frost Mages
Brewmaster and Mistweaver Monks (can loot with Mistweaver loot specialization)
Discipline and Holy Priests
Affliction and Destruction Warlocks
Verwüster des Lichthimmels
This one-handed mace has a blue square head with silver details. It was very sought after during vanilla, because of it's original 20% attack speed proc. In fact, it was it's only stat! It compliments a
Imperial Plate
transmog quite well, or if you're Alliance, the
Stormwind Set
from the Garrison Dwarven Bunker.
Specializations that can transmog their artifacts to this:
Frost Death Knights
Protection Paladins
Outlaw Rogues
Enhancement and Restoration Shamans (can loot with Enhancement loot specialization)
Protection Warriors
Fangzahn der Mystiker
A very simple spellblade with purple details, very polished for a vanilla weapon. This weapon also has a faint purple glow, that can't be overwritten with enchants! Overall a very elegant yet simple transmog.
Specializations that can transmog their artifacts to this:
Assassination and Subtlety Rogues (can't loot, but can transmog when looted with another class)
Feral Druids (can loot with Balance or Restoration specializations)
Shadow Priest
Taifun
This two-handed sword is a katana that is slightly longer and less curved than other 2h katanas, such as
Dämmerbringer
and
Ta'Kierthan Arkanklinge
. Typhoon also has a very faint white glow covering it's blade! This glow also cannot be overwritten by enchants.
Specializations that can transmog their artifacts to this:
Blood and Unholy Death Knights
Survival Hunters (must loot with another class)
Holy and Retribution Paladins (can loot with Retribution spec)
Arms and Fury Warriors
Nieschmelzender Eisgurt
This plate belt was the only epic plate belt with Frost Resistance that wouldn't gimp your tank's stats, for
Naxxramas
bosses like
Saphiron
. It is also the only belt that completely matches the
Deathbone Guardian (Recolor)
set, a somewhat rare blue and black set that has items from both Vanilla and Burning Crusade.
A really welcome change to the event version of the Green Dragons, is that all loot is shared! During Vanilla, all dragons had a shared loot table, but they also had a few exclusives to each dragon. The event fixed that and now all the pieces of loot can be looted from any of the dragons!
Alptraumklinge
This one-handed sword is HUGE! Although it is a one-hand weapon, it is big enough to look like a two-hander. This is a exclusive, nightmare green dragon recolor of the Blackwing Lair sword
Maladath, Runenverzierte Klinge des schwarzen Drachenschwarms
, which is etched with a gold plated dragon. Before this event, this sword was a exclusive drop from
Taerar
.
Specializations that can transmog their artifacts to this:
Frost Death Knight
Havoc and Vengeance Demon Hunters
Fire Mages (can't loot, but can transmog if you loot it with another class)
Protection Paladin
Outlaw Rogue
Protection Warrior
Polierte Eisenholzarmbrust
This crossbow was sought after for all classes that could wield crossbows during vanilla, due to being the only epic Nature Resistance ranged weapon before the opening of Ahn'Qiraj. After AQ was opened,
Bogen der straffen Sehne
became an easier alternative, as it did not depend on world boss spawns.
This weapon still has value due to being the only green tinted crossbow transmog in the game! Before this event, this crossbow was a exclusive drop from
Smariss
.
Specializations that can transmog their artifacts to this:
Beast Mastery and Marksmanship Hunters
Hammer des Wildtierzorns
This one-handed mace became famous as the first item to present Attack Power exclusive to Feral Druids, although it was more useful for Bears (due to it's innate Strength, which helped them back in the day). It is still a really good looking mace. The face of the hammer also has a glowing dragon eye!
Specializations that can transmog their artifacts to this:
Frost Death Knights
Protection Paladins
Outlaw Rogues
Enhancement and Restoration Shamans (can loot with Enhancement loot specialization)
Protection Warriors
Leather Pieces (
Deviatwachstumskappe
,
Reif der ruhelosen Träume
,
Unnatürliche Lederschiftung
,
Stiefel des Schreckens
,
Drachenspitzwickeltücher
)
Almost all the leather drops from the dragons are exclusives! They were also very special in their own way:
Deviatwachstumskappe
was originally a healing helmet, with both Healing Power (back when healing and spell power were different stats),Mmana/5 seconds and Critical Strike Chance. These dropped originally from
Lethon
.
Reif der ruhelosen Träume
was originally an Agility helmet, with a skill bonus for Daggers, so it was pretty amazing for Rogues. These dropped originally from
Smariss
.
Unnatürliche Lederschiftung
was a Nature Resistence shoulders with both Spirit and Attack Power, so it could be used by both Healing Druids and Rogues without too much issue. The new bonus reflects it's original status as a Nature Resistance item. These dropped originally from
Taerar
.
Stiefel des Schreckens
was a spellcaster boots with Spell Power and Spirit, so it could be used by both Balance and Restoration Druids. These dropped originally from
Taerar
.
Drachenspitzwickeltücher
had a small boost to all resistances as well as Stamina and Attack Power. Although the Attack Power was a bigger attractive to Rogues and Feral Druids, all Druid Specializations could benefit from the small resistance boost.
Mail Pieces (
Gamaschen des verwirrten Geists
,
Stiefel des endlosen Moors
)
Mail wearers also got some exclusive drops. Here's what they used to be:
Gamaschen des verwirrten Geists
was the epitome of hybrid gear for Shaman, with both Intellect, Strength and Healing Power! Enhancement favored those for PvP due to it's high healing power, that helped save themselves in a pinch. These dropped originally from
Ysondre
.
Stiefel des endlosen Moors
were another set of boots for Shaman, focusing more on healing this time - it had both Intellect, Mana/5 seconds and some Nature Resistance to boot. These dropped originally from
Smariss
.
Plate Pieces (
Stulpen des scheinenden Lichts
,
Säurebeschriebene Schienbeinschützer
,
Säurebeschriebene Schulterstücke
)
Plate users had a few exclusive Nature Resistance pieces and some very special gloves.
Stulpen des scheinenden Lichts
was a really hybrid piece for Paladins, with both Strength, Intellect, Spirit and Healing Power! These are also the only gloves that are a match for the
Imbued Plate (Recolor)
set, a rare plate set composed mostly of rare Blacksmithing patterns and even a rare from Outland. These originally dropped from
Lethon
.
Säurebeschriebene Schienbeinschützer
and
Säurebeschriebene Schulterstücke
were both high in Stamina and Nature Resistance, which made them staples for tanking Ahn'Qiraj bosses that needed huge amounts of resistances such as
Prinzessin Huhuran
. The shoulders were originally dropped from
Ysondre
.
