Yesterday we reported on the most popular WoW Classic class and leveling guides here on Wowhead, and today we're circling back to see what's gained and lost popularity as players continue to level. Check out what leveling guides people have been using the most from August 28th through 29th!
Do note that the following lists are based on Wowhead traffic, and reflect most popular
guides
not overall content in the game. People usually go to Wowhead when they need help with something, such as a confusing quest or location of a trainer NPC. With over a million WoW players continuing to use Wowhead yesterday, we think this is a fairly accurate representation of user information trends, and we had fun
doing rankings for BFA guides
so we've started it up again for Classic. But if you've encountered a guide that you feel is a hidden gem and should get more attention, let us know in the comments!
Most Popular WoW Classic Class Leveling Guides
Here is a ranking of what Classic Classes are the most popular on Wowhead, with
Krieger
and
Magier
still in the lead. The class rankings seem mostly untouched, as the players committed to leveling characters yesterday are still leveling those same classes.
Do note that this list does not rank classes by which is
best
(which is subjective anyway); instead the guides are ranked in order of site traffic.
Krieger
s are pulling a bit ahead in the #1 spot, with
Magier
,
Hexenmeister
, and
Priester
virtually tied. The classes with limitations, as expected, are at the bottom:
Druide
can only be used by two races,
Paladin
Alliance, and
Schamane
Horde. We'd also like to note that
Jäger
traffic could be split between the leveling advice and our pet guide, also doing quite strong in traffic. And while DPS are usually more popular than healers, getting wands for Priests is very important, so we believe a lot of
Priester
guide traffic is due to learning how to pick up
Geringer Magiezauberstab
.

We also took a look at our guides dedicated to Classic class quests. As expected, Warriors are still in the forefront due to the

reward being so good, but some other classes have shifted places. More players are likely high enough to start the lengthy quest for

, moving Druids up to #2. At level 20, Rogues can also start the questline for poisons which is very important, explaining their shift from 6 to 4 on this list.

Most Popular Overall WoW Classic Leveling Guides
Here at Wowhead, we strive to create guides for all useful content related to leveling. While Class leveling guides are very popular, it's interesting to see how they fare next to other types of guides--and what edges them out.
Our
Best Addons guide
is still by far our most popular post, and some class guides are still very popular, but we're seeing an increased interest in dungeon and profession guides over the past day.
Our faction guides, and other overviews, have lost some interest as people have decided what they are going to play and have moved onto advanced concepts. For example, our Horde overview dropped from #2 to #10.
Tailoring continued to rise in popularity, jumping from 12 to 5, as everyone wants to craft a
Leinentasche
--players get bag space, and Tailors get skillups. Plus it's slightly cheaper than buying a bag from a vendor. Enchanting also ranked highly, due to the popularity of
Geringer Magiezauberstab
.
Another notable guide placement is the
Weapon Skill guide
, which moved up from 14 to 12. While each leveling class guide tells you where to find weapon trainers, the Weapon Skill guide goes into greater detail on mechanics, default weapons for each race, how to level a weapon, and notable items that increase your skill.
Yesterday we noted that we were starting to see dungeon guides acquire more traffic, and today more of them made the list. In the last article we only saw Ragefire Chasm at 21, and for today's report we have Wailing Caverns at 11, Ragefire Chasm at 16, and Deadmines at 18. We think for the next report, we'll see Shadowfang Keep and the list of dungeon quests make the list.
