Kirin Tor World Quests: Puzzles and Wonderous Wisdomball Reward

These quests send you on puzzles instead of traditional World Quests like looting items or killing mobs. Each type of puzzle can spawn in each outdoor zone.

For the Geheimnisvoll puzzle, a maze pattern will flash on the ground and you must successfully trace its path several times. Varenne has a detailed comment listing all the maze patterns.

For a Leyrennen puzzle, you must jump on a manasaber and steer it through all of the blue magical patches to reach 100% before time runs out.

For the Die Magie des Flugs puzzle, you must move into a bubble, and then continue moving with it as it floats through the air, taking care not to fall out of the bubble.

There are also several Dungeon quests that count towards the Kirin Tor, to complete an activity and then defeat the final boss of an instance. These are detailed in the World Quests section of each Dungeon Strategy Guide.

Rewards

Kirin Tor World Quests award reputation with the Wrath faction Kirin Tor, as well as reputation for the zone you are in. For example, the Highmountain version of Geheimnisvoll grants 75 reputation with the Kirin Tor and Highmountain Tribe. In Suramar, Kirin Tor World quests instead grant 50 Nightfallen reputation.

Die Kirin Tor von Dalaran for completing 4 Kirin Tor World Quests, grants Kirin Tor reputation as well as an insignia which grants 1500 reputation for a specific faction (750 Nightfallen). Remember to have your Darkmoon Faire buff Jippie! on for a 10% reputation gain. The quest also rewards Truhe der Kirin Tor and Omnibus: Die Schulen der arkanen Magie.

Users have reported that Truhe der Kirin Tor can contain Merkwürdig summender Kristall, an item which starts the quest Überall Gegner for the battle pet Wundersamer Weisheitsball. On the quest page you can learn about the Dalaran Infiltrators you need to kill, who are all throwback references to Mists of Pandaria rare spawns.

The resulting non-combat pet is a disembodied version of Khadgar's Head who works much like a Magic 8 ball. Phrases he says include "Outlook unclear, gather 4289 more apexis crystals and ask again."
