BlizzCon 2017 allowed many members of the community to interview the WoW Development team. We've covered several interviews over the past week but there are many more interviews to watch or listen to. This post will highlight all the WoW Interviews that we could find.

Classic Servers are not tied to an expansion.
Everything is on the table right now for Classic, including quality of life fixes.
No challenges planned right now for BFA, similar to the Mage Tower challenges.
They were talking about adding PvP Gear Vendors back to areas in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
No plans to change to the Mythic Raid size.
There won't be large sweeping changes for classes going into BFA, compared to Legion launch.

Legion's endgame was satisfying compared to WoD's end game and the new warfronts and islands will show what is possible at end game.
Island Expeditions can range from tropical islands, to a frozen tundra or an abandoned Gilnean manor.
Warfronts are a PvE feature because then they can sell and script out those heroic moments.
They're thinking about how to bring faction conflict into dungeon and raid gameplay as well.

Summary:
Classic's launch experience was not a great experience, so they want to gameplay to be great, with the 2004-2005 systems and modern conveniences.
Content-wise Classic will be identical - UBRS that had a 10 player and a 5 player version. At some point, the 10 player version was dropped. They're trying to figure out what to have.
It's important to come back to the core of why we're heroes, who we're fighting for and what the world is after finishing some story arcs.
You can do whatever you want when you enter a Warfront; you can do nothing but chop wood, or go and take territories.
