Ahn'Qiraj War Effort - Automatic Turn-Ins for Small Servers Not Working

Shortly before the launch of Ahn'Qiraj, Blizzard
told players
that War Effort materials would start automatically turning in after 30 days, in order to make sure smaller servers keep up with the pace of content. Now 38 days past, that doesn't seem to have been happening, leaving players wondering if they'll be given any assistance at all.
Blizzard
The initial War Effort requires a great deal of supplies to be turned in by your faction on your realm. If this is not complete 30 days after the content is unlocked, small amounts of supplies will begin turning in automatically, as they did in the version 1.12 of original WoW. The gates still require somebody to “Bang a Gong!”, but this will help ensure that all realms have the chance to unlock Ahn’Qiraj before Naxxramas is released.
However, several severs who've struggled to complete with the War Effort have reported no change in materials whatsoever, and it would seem that the automatic turn in assistance is not actually happening. Frustrated players on these smaller servers have reached out to GMs, but gotten little in the way of answers, being told there are no known issues or even that there is no auto-completion feature. Several posts on

A big thank you to Afrayedknot™ on Discord for bringing the story to our attention - they also shared some information on how their server has been affected:
The problem is each day we wait is another day of the event been broken. These servers are literally "stuck" on the biggest event WoW Classic has to offer, and receiving non committal answers from the support teams is frustrating everyone.
Many of our servers have done a huge job. Some, with only 10 raiding guilds, have completed 60-90% of the war effort. When you contrast this to large servers like Yojamba with 500 raiding guilds who only opened the gates last week, we are proud of what we have done. But we'd like the event to function as intended and help us finish off the last remaining parts.
Because we are small pop servers, we cant "raise the voice" like Argual did and have 5,000 people spam forums and get attention when there is a problem. There are not many of us, but for us we like our small community servers, but its frustrating not having a voice with Blizzard.
And several players on the forums have voiced similarly:
On our server some turn ins have not changed. At all. For example. Firebloom. No one has added any in 3-4 days, so we know 100% for a fact the number is not changing.
If you look at a super low pop server, Sul’thraze, their Copper is currently on 1.76% (1,580 of 90,000). It has been on that for a week. So not only has the number not changed, it is not even above a single tick you would expect for auto complete.
Most of these servers are extremely small, so farming all of the materials and completing the event on their own is quite a monumental task. For every thousand players, less than 10% might actually participate, placing the burden on a relatively small amount of individuals.
There are around 3.9 million materials that need to be farmed not the 1 million number people keep throwing around for some reason. Keep in mind how our server of 400 has done comparative to other oceanic servers:
If Felstriker had kept the pace we had before we stopped expecting auto complete to kick in when blizzard said it would and finish it off, we'd be done in ~6 weeks with ~400 raiders. Arugal took ~2 weeks to complete the war effort with over 8k raiders (3x faster, 20x more people) Yojamba took ~3 weeks to complete the war effort with over 7k raiders (2x faster, 20x more people) Remulos took ~4 weeks to complete teh war effort with over 3k raiders (1.5x faster, 10x more people)
We don't have anything near a complete list of servers affected, but a few that we know of specifically affected are Thalnos, Anathema, Loatheb, Felstriker, Arcanite Reaper, and Sul’thraze. There's still some hope that the turn-ins will actually start with the next server reset, but as Blizzard has been quiet on the subject despite so many voices asking, it's not a strong hope.
