I think Shammys rock. They have so many different things they can do. You can pick if you want to be a healer, melee dps or spell dps unlike some classes where you can only melee dps. So many different totems to use also.
Or you could go druid and be a healer, melee dps, spell dps or tank. :P

It's all down to personal taste. I personally find shammy really fun as it is, as resto.
Dinnerbone, that's only true if it's 1on1.. usually it's always 2on1 because people know they wont take a shammy down alone so need backup >.<

I think that in the PvE part shamans are way the best in entertainment. Not to mention that you can be very effective in all your build types, let it be resto, elem, or enh.

Yes, but not all in one form and to add, it takes mana to shape shift. The biggest issue I have with my Druid is in order to fill the rolls all in one like a shammy can, it sucks down ALOT of mana when you add shape shifting. Also, it's great to have to change form every time you want to heal, :(
Setting totems can be a little nerve racking at times, but, I now have a bar devoted to combos for PvP use, since it varies slightly. This way, there is no thinking about it, just slap all the PvP ones down and go to town.

When i get bored of resto shaman i would respec elemental or enhance for a little while then swap back =] works great can nvr get bored!
