You must do all of the wild leather quests for the guy in Feathermoon (hes kinda hidden off to the side of the dock for the boat). THen you do a few run arounds and the tribal LW trainer is in the far east of Feralas, at the FP point between gadget and feathermoon.

For what class is Tribal Leatherworking?
评论来自
Thottbot
No Class, its just something you can choose from as long as you have Leatherworking, you can expand to either Dragonscale, Tribal, or Elemental leatherwork.

im level 38 with 240 leatherworking... i dont know if im too low to get tribal leatherworking but that trainer wont let me get it i really want it!

You have to be 40 to train in Tribal, Elemental or Dragonscale...or this is what i have been lead to believe

Thottbot
It really depends on your class...
Tribal for Druids
Elemental for Rogues
Dragonscale for Hunters/Shamans
They attributes all differ...
Tribal and Elemental produce leather items
Dragonscale produces mail items

Ive looked at a lot of theses forms and what i would really like is a list of all the Tribal recipes. Its difficult to seporate them all out of the regular recipes.

I needed to complete all of the wild leather quests from the Pratt guy in Feathermoon. Including the non-wild leather quests (i think there is only 2 non-wild leather quests). You will also receive a letter to take to telonis in darnassas after completing the wild leather quests from pratt. Once you have completed all of the quests head to Caryissa and you should be able to talk to her or see the exclamation point above her. On a side note (my opinion) for a rogue I think its best to go tribal since its all stamina/strength (example Devilsaur gear)

Im a balanced base druid so which is better elemental or tribal...(yes i got no feral talents)

you need to be lvl 40 and have 250 LW. if you are horde, you go to camp mojache and do all of the leather working quests from the guy. after youv done all that. you can go to STV and talk to the guy to get tribal LW.

so i have a enhance/elemental shammy and a hunter. the hunter makes the armor for both of them.
i have heard that the dragonscale is good for shammys but not if they are enhance specced because then they need agi armor.
hunters need agi armor too...
what do you recommend my specialization lw be?
can all the branches make mail?
i have also heard that DS armor w/ agi enchant could work too... but i really want to stay away from overpriced enchants if it can be done someother way.

Dragonscale:
Best for Shamans and Hunters because Dragonscale Leatherworkers make mail armor. This kind of armor also has Fire Resist on it, which can sell for quite a bit, though prices are server dependent.
Elemental:
Best for Rogues because this armor adds +Agility. The mats for these armor pieces most often include elemental essences.
Tribal:
Tribal is recommended for druids, since it gives intellect and the like- you can make Ironfeather armor. Since I AM posting in the Tribal Leathworking place, I'll tell you how to be a tribal leatherworker.
1. First, your leatherworking has to be AT LEAST 245 to complete the pre-requirement quests.
2. Go talk to Jangdor in Camp Mojache, Ferales, and he will give you the quests for the Wild Leather Armor, you must complete ALL of them.
3. When this is done, talk to him again and he'll give you a quest to go talk to Uma, the Artisan leatherworker in Thunderbluff, and give her a letter.
4. In order to get Tribal Leatherworking, you need to have a leatherworking skill of at least 250, and be level 40 (So I've heard). The Tribal Leatherworker guy you first need to talk to is Southeast of Grom'gol Base Camp. If you talk to him, he should either have training options or give a quest... I can't remember which one.
Remember people, you can only pick ONE type of leatherworking- Tribal, Dragonscale, or Elemental. If you've already picked DS or Elemental then the guy won't talk to you.
This might be a little off- my knowledge is kind of pre-a-few-patches, but I hope it still helps. If you're going into this proffesion in the hopes to make money- check your server's auction house. If one type of armor is going for more than another, the choice should be pretty obvious. I've heard that if you pick Elemental Leatherworking, however, you can make the money you spent on mats back by selling Helms of Fire. Just what I heard- I have no idea if it's true.
NOTE: For any cloth wearers, I suggest Tailoring, and for Plate wearers or mail wearers (if you dont want to do leatherworking), try Blacksmithing.
Hope this helped a bit.

I say pick tribal no matter what class you are. Devilsaur and Hide of the Wild are the best things LW has goin. As a hemo rogue I prefer Devilsaur over Stormshroud pants and gloves. Plus, it's easier to get to the point where you can solo devilsaurs and get the mats as opposed to farming essences. If you want the stormshroud shoulders or chest, just buy the mats on teh AH and throw a couple gold at an elemental LW to make them for you.

This is from what I have accomplished so far and what I have learned. I'm currently a level 42 feral druid with 235 LW. I'm currently on the two Wild Leather quests after the first three... Wild Leather Boots and Leggings.
I think you must be at least 225 LW and level 40 to obtain these quests.
Anyway, people keep asking a lot of questions. So this is what I know. Hopefully it is all right. If not, feel free to correct me.
To get Tribal Leatherworking you will need to complete the "Wild Leather Quests" that you get from Pratt McGrubben in Feathermoon Stronghold. This is on Kalimdor in the region Feralas. To get to the island, you'll have to go along the Forgotten Coast. You'll eventually come across a pier. Note: Watch out for those scary 47 elementals! And 48 Elite Giants O_O
So far, I know that there are five Wild Leather quests from experience, but I've read that there are six. Anyway, you might want to have all the mats prepared before going all the way to Feathermoon.
Thanks to Berund who did the math, here are the mats you need for all Wild Leatherworking quests.
Thick Leather- 208
Turtle Scale- 112
Cured Thick Hide- 2
Wildvine- 11
Heavy Silken Thread- 12
Silken Thread- 22
Insane! The thick leather shouldn't be a big problem if you are a skinner, but the turtle scales are a pain. With some research, I found that the turtles in Tanaris have the best drop rate (about 20% I think) for turtle scales. I got most of my scales from skinning them, so just be aware of that. To get to the turtles, go directly west from Gadgetzan and you'll hit the coast. They're all along it... you can find a decent amount in the water too.
The things that Pratt will ask you to make include various Nightscape and Turtle Scale items. These can be obtained from your regular Artisan and Master leatherworkers. The master leatherworker is in Aerie Park, The Hinterlands. The only pattern that you'll need to buy is for the Turtle Skin Gloves, so keep an eye out for that in the AH.
Anyway, that's as far as I have gotten. From what I've read online, after you finish all the wild leather quests, you will recieve a letter to give to Telonis (I think) in Darnassus. The Tribal leatherworker will talk to you after you finish these quests. He can be found in Thalanaar, Feralas. Watch out for the horde guards in Camp Mojache!
Hope that clarified some things. If I got anything wrong, feel free to correct me ^_^ Good luck getting Tribal Leatherworking!

I got all my scales from the ones in Hinterlands.. Yes, they are level 50, but i had a level 60 friend helping me.. Took me about 30 minutes.. Had 2 Turtle scales from every second, and 4 from the elite up there.. If you are just above level 40, yes go for the Turtles in Tarnaris.. Thoose had aprox a 50% drop rate for me when i soloed them as a 42 feral druid..
The wildvine for the Wild Leather quests and Tribal leatherworking quests is a pain in the ass.. AH prices on the @#$% is just *!@#ed.. At least they are on Frostwhisper.. Anyway.. Go to STV and ask if anyone found them.. They primarely drop of Skullsplitters, and ppl dont know what to do with them, so most of the time, you can have 'em for a couple of knickles.. But if you got time, farm the Skullsplitters yourself.. They are a rare drop, but if you are level 40+ your should have no problem..
That was just my 2 cents worth of wizdom..

I am a 70 druid specd half feral half resto. I originally had dragonscale lw b4 the expansion bc I was told I could use it to make money. Bad idea! It doesn't sell and now that the expansion is out you can level your lw high enough to make yourself epic gear but it's bind on pick up so specialize in the route thats best for your character. When I switched to tribal to make my epic it cost me 100g to unlearn dragonscale and then I had to do all the quests to get tribal! Huge pain in the butt! Take my advice and specialize for your character bc your going to want that epic gear its awesome! Also, keep in mind that once you hit 325 the trainer wont teach you anymore patterns and everything u know is green so to level u either have to buy the patterns or grind for them if your not specialized in something thats easy to level. All the patterns u can learn after 325 are taught from the specialized trainer so think it over carefully before you decide! Good luck!

I've heard a lot of people asking what type of Leatherworking they should be doing for their characters. Here is my honest opinion of what you should learn depending on class and spec.
Druid - balance/restoration - Tribal LW
Druid - feral - Elemental LW
Hunter - any spec - Dragonscale LW *
Shaman - any spec - Dragonscale LW *
Rogue - any spec - Elemental LW **
* Hunters and Shamans should do Dragonscale because it is the only LW style that specializes in mail armor.
** Rogues should do Elemental LW (even though there are some good pieces a Rogue can use in Tribal LW, in my honest opinion Elemental LW will benefit you more).
LW = Leatherworking
General tips - Tribal LW makes a lot more leather pieces with a bonus to Intellect and Spirit. Elemental LW makes a majority of leather pieces with Agility. Dragonscale makes mail pieces that have many different stat bonuses, but is the only type that specializes in mail.
I hope this will maybe help some people. Goodluck
