Soloed as 48 Hunter. Kiting is easy as he isn't a fast mover. Better clear some room first though.

Solo'd as a lvl 48 protection paladin. Used a lot of consumables, but basically just out-regen'd his damage. Didn't have to use lay on hands, just a few combat healing potions.

This is soloable by a lvl 49 affliction warlock without consumables. Send the Voidwalker in, DoT him up and chain fear while draining life.

He's not tamable has a ton of health points 11000+ 3000+ armor and does 460-500 dam
too bad he'd make a hell of a pet, although he's so big he'd sink any boat you got on

I just finished killing this guy with my lvl 49 hunter. It takes forever, but it is entirely possible to solo him.
Clear the area for any other gorillas first. Turn off growl on your pet, and start him off with an aimed shot / immolation trap / serpent sting combo. Once he starts getting close, switch to aspect of the pack, and start kiting him around in big circles - you have to run around some of the trees to keep the circle big enough. Every 15 seconds, jump-turn, put a serpent sting on him, and turn back to keep him on a distance. If he gets a little too close, put a concussion shot on him to gain distance.
You can let your pet attack after you build up some aggro, but eventually he will turn on your pet, flattening it in about 4 hits.
The only part is keeping the distance while not going so far away that he exits combat mode and goes back to his spawn point. I had that happen to me twice before finally getting him down.
I'm sure it would be possible to take him down at lvl 48 or even 47 using the same tactic.

I remember this monkey chewing my 60 mage up and it being a close call with my 60 shaman, but he fell with ease to my feral druid at level 49! NERF DRUIDS!
Dire bear forms in nuts, AC of 6300 buffed with only MoTW (warden staff, rest of stuff mostly greens). Yeah so rooting / bashing and backing off periodically to bandage then going back to bear form saw him die. Took about 5mins though.

i just tried to kill him with a 48 pally healing my 49 rogue and we got him to about half health till he just started getting crits over and over (either that or that double attack thing he does) btw i found him at (40, 83) though hes not very hard to find cuz hes HUGE hes on that big island on the southeast side
ps he is for the 2nd part of the Message in a Bottle quest (lvl 40 req start i think)u obtain it from an item but i dont no where u get (i think its a drop of pirates but i dunno cuz my friend gave me item)

I solo'd this guy fairly easily at 50 as a frost mage. Just frostbolt kite him around the island, trying your best to avoid any of those stupid invisible panthers. It took a Mana Citrine and a mana potion to do it, but I killed him. It took about 2 minutes though.

FYI, the quest is "message in a bottle," and killing mukla is the second part. you get the item that starts the quest from a half-buried bottle on the coast of STV (i found mine on the SE portion).

Theres 2 or more different bottles in STV...the 1st one i found is in the BSB area a little to the northeast part of their area. Inside he bottle was a crumpled up note saying it was a very huge monster be aware...probable talking about Mulka.
The 2nd bottle i found is that island south east of BB...if you go on our map its a resemblence of a circle...i was on the bottum part the island when i found this bottle....sadly i was 40 and right as i got it i got ganged up on by a couple vile panthers....
By the way anybody notice that the giant monkey drops an empty barrel after you kill it? Also..that monkey just happens to be holding a princess captave? One last thing....doesnt the princess ask you to get the key to save her?Blizzard is putting in Easter eggs everywhere.Look alive people.

I solo'd this gorilla with a level 50 warlock. At first I cleared the area of all the little gorillas so that I could kite him around. I only summoned my imp for the blood pact and put him on passive most of the battle, switched to defensive for extra dps. I have improved curse of exhaustion talent, and I kited him around till he was about 35% health and at that point I was pretty low on mana. I decided to chain fear him and as it turned out that was a little more successful than kiting, he did not resist my fear very much and he went down.

I solod him as a 57 rogue (obviously a little high) and finished with just over half health. I figure that its totally doable by a rogue in the low 50's, but you should follow some guidelines. This is for rogues who DO NOT have preperation, if you've got prep i'd almost be willing to bet you could solo him at a lower level than he is, especially if you have a potion or something else like that.
1. fight him like he's a warrior--unless you are geared out the ass picking on noobs, you most likley already know that you can't go toe to toe w/ a warrior for any length of time and not die, he is the same way, manage him accordingly. all other tips are based of this premise.
2. use crippling poison and melee kite him, you should already be familiar w/ this, but unlike w/ warriors you dont have to worry about intercepts, so get good and far away. Never go at him when your energy bar isn't all the way full, and when you dont have any more energy, pull back off until you are at 100% again.
3. bandage early and often, if you use cripps poison and do a half decent job, your going to be melee kiting him for a few minutes, long enough for a minimum of 2 (at my level) but most likley 3-4 bandaging sessions to be available, the earlier you bandage the better as you WILL be able to do it multiple times, it will take some getting used to to figure out how far away you need to stop and bandage to maximize the time it takes him to get to you, as the poison will wear off if you run too long, and he will reach you very soon if you dont run far enough.
4. blind early, then you will want to blind early, in fact, a good time to do it is before your first bandaging as you will be able to FULLY bandage and also get off a quick sucession of attacks on him before you have to back away again.
5. evade late, when both you and he are at low health, its time to pop evasion and unload your best damage, he still hits damn hard when he does hit you, so you should have enough health for 2 maybe 3 hits when you rush in, hopefully luck is on your side.
6. use your inventory, i didn't, but using dynamites/healing potions/trinkets could really help a lot, especially if you are really low level.
7. Just remember, you should NEVER be standing in front of him in melee range, when he is on you you should always have full energy, pop a few quick attacks and a stun, then back off, repeat and occasionally eviscerate or kidney shot depending on your preference, kidney shot can be better before the finishing stage as you will have time to get distance again and easily get off a bandage after a few more attacks.

I just solo'd him as a 54 combat spec rogue. The basic strategy is to kite him. Use crippling poison II (70% snare).
I opened up by cheap shotting, beating on him till the poison procced, then running out of range. Once out of range, I used Jagged Throwing Axes to wear him down. When he caught up, I threw in a Sinister Strike, spammed gouge, then ran through him. Rinse repeat. Using gouge to pause him is useful because it gives you time to think of your next move.
I have 3k unbuffed. When I got down to 1.5k or 2k, I bandaged up using a runecloth or heavy runecloth bandage. I only had to use one Major Healing Potion.
When he got to 1k, I used Adrenaline Rush, Blade Fury, Evasion, and Beserking to take him out. All in all, it was a fun fight. I suggest you practice on Gorlash first.

I sololed him with 49 affliction lock, woidvalker and 1 superior healing pot and healstone.
It was hard fight, i have to sacrifice my pet and use fear, life tap and drain life+ first aid (heavy mageweave bandage).
Mukla have 12k hp and hits me for 300-500

Solo'd him as a L49 fire mage (he was L51) without getting so much as a broken nail. Not very Kingly..
Just killed all the little gorillas around the closest hill and ran him around the hill a dozen times hitting him with Fire Blast jump-shots. When he gets low on health (15-20%?) he slows down and it gets even easier. Convenient, given I was low on mana and already used my Citrine and a mana pot (I started using scorch at that point as my mana regenerated).
Simple, but effective.

Took him down alst night. Myself 48 druid, and a 50 Pally. Fight was long and I stayed in castor form for most of it. I think we would ahve been fine if I had gone feral but we were concerned and opted for the safer slower route. A good fight though. And new respect for Pally, man they are hard to kill.
I skinned him too. Recived 2 R. Leather. Was yellow to me at 300/300 skinning I want my skill up lol j/k

Thanks in advance.

I took him down as a L55 Shaman, but it could have been done a couple levels lower. I simply kited him with frost shock round a tree, turning ghost wolf when I ran out of mana (forgot the mana pots) and continued to run around the tree. It took a while to do, but he only hit me once.

This guy is immensely huge - King Kong huge in fact :) Estimate he's about 50 feet (15m) tall, and that's hunched down... Stretched out fingertip to toe he's probably around 100 feet (30m).
He was (is) 52E. We took him down as a lvl 49 hunter, lvl 60 mage and me (lvl 46 warrior). Mage got severely beaten to within an inch of his life, but we took him :)

so I killed him last night with a lvl43 pally and lvl43 rogue, myself being a 60 rogue. Had a first failed attempt due to me not thinking too much of him and getting suprised and killed. Next time was a cake walk when we got a little more serious of how hard this beast is, and how hard he hits (critted me once for over 800, and hits average of 300-400 for wearing leather). Dropped an empty barrel o.0
Now the lower level players got the quest to get up to him and we will kill him again. This was just to size him up and for fun.
Is he tameable...........I have a hunter coming up and want to check him out.

Wore him down solo in true paladin fashion with two bubbles, a health potion, a bandage, an agility scroll, a protection scroll, a food buff, some explosives and a masterwork target dummy.
I spent over a year hating paladins for being able to do crap like this. I now hate myself.

51 Warlock, soloed ^^ Cost me a healthstone and a superior healing pot, but it's possible.
You can find him at 40,80 on the same island.
Clear the area of small gorillas, drink up, buff up, and let your voidwalker charge in. Let him hold out as long as possible, but try not to let him die. The moment you see you get aggro from the king, start fearing him around. If you see you can't manage the fear on time, sacrifice your voidwalker, fear, dot up the king and quickly cast your 2nd voidy to repeat the process. He's a slow bugger so a second sacrifice should not be necessary if you keep max distance.

I just got done soloing him as 52 feral Druid. He was 51 elite. I wiped on the first two tries because I was waiting too long to root and back off to heal. He hits really hard so I had to switch out of bear form and root him to back off for healing as soon as I got down to half hp, without exception. Third time I got him. Fight lasted about 10 minutes.

Did this last night. Tried it with me (level 50 Dwarf Priest) and a 45 Gnome Warlock. Tried three times, and he finally called it quits. after about, 15 seconds of waiting, somebody else was wanting in. A level 50 Night Elf Hunter with a scorpid-type. He didn't have the quest, so we spent about 10 minutes roaming the coast until he found the note. Took him to Poobah, then we hunted down Mukla. This guy was a freaking beast to take down. I somehow got the aggro, so I PW: Shielded and he took it out in two hits :-s So, Pyschic Scream, Mindblast, the Mind Flay on his way back. Scorpid kept hitting, hunter hit with the viper arrow and concussion shot. Shielded myself again, hit him with mind blast and Smite, then had to use a mana potion and Scream again. Repeated strategy, had to use Desperate Prayer, and finally took him down. Got about 7500 experience when we released the girl (we both leveled up, it was sweet).

Soloed as a 48 shadow priest.
Pull him with mind blast to the shore of the island, keep SW:P up, and use vampiric embrace to cast something and he doesn't reset.
When he gets close enough fear him and run in the opposite direction, use mind flay whenever possible (he is far enough and you have fear ready)
Kite him by running along the coastline to the east and north where the gorillas are (not the Panthers). Use Mana potions, don't waste Mana casting PW:S. If fear gets resisted you are dead.

Killed him with a 58 Holy Priest by psychic screaming, keeping Shadow Word: Pain up, running around and occasionally shielding if he caught up to me. It was tough though because he would reset. I wanded him to keep him "interested". Not sure what made him reset because it wasn't location. If you try with psychic scream remember to use the lower level one that only fears two. Uses less mana.
