Sarltooth can be found by climbing to the top of the Excavation site opposite of Ormer His coordinates are 32,50.

Very easy quest .... He is lvl 29 , he is at 33,51. Go to the west side of the place , climb the hill and walk over the boards and he will be right there .. nice xp and reward .. I did it at lvl 27

He was 29 for me too, not 32+. Not difficult. Soloed him as a 27 warrior.

Follow the describ., it was good. SO easy! didnt even get in the nearest of trobule as lvl 28 druid. I did the whole quest series in 30 min. nice xp

Big Blue Raptor 29 not elite...

Soloed as 29 warrior he has a fairly fast attack speed and hes up the clifs where it's indicated on the map

Sarltooth is a lv. 29 non-elite, blue raptor. He is located on the western side of the pit, usually up on the ridge guarded by one regular green raptor, or he is located in the south-eastern pit near the back of the excavation site.

I have never seen him spawn anywhere else except on the ridge but apparently he has an 20% spawn rate of being down in the pit. If you mine or gather herbs, follow the Tin veins and the Wild Steelbloom and Briarthorn to find the path to reach the easter ridge. (Opposite of where you originally receive the quest.)

at Welgar's exavation site in wetlands. If ally u get a quest to kill Raptors in Wetlands, he is the 3rd part of that quest chain.he is on a platform above the other raptors in the exavation site.

You can get to him from the hills right outside the site to your right. You'll have to kill some 24-26's around 4 I think. Walk your way toward the planked walk way. You'll have to kill a 26 and then he is usually sitting on the other side of the 26.

I soloed him lvl 25 ice mage. He didn't drop anything, but the 26 up there with him dropped a nice green item.

As of 25 druid I fought just like any other enemy 4 levels higher (much easier then being a warrior) but had to heal an extra time half way through.

Overall it still was pretty easy.

I soloed him yesterday as a lvl 24 hunter. I had a bit of luck though, nearly died. He dropped only the quest item for me.

All of you guys 'helping' out with the location of Sarltooth really just drove me all over the place looking for him.

Go to the west side of the pit to the only place where you can start climbing up onto the cliffs, and then walk up around on the cliffs toward the south and you'll see him somewhere on your little walk.

Thx to Dripstone and Uziwood he was exactly where you posted.
Picked him today with a NE Hunter level 30.
His stats at pickup were
Attack Speed 2.0
Dmg 39-50
DPS 22.4

Found him up on the ledge at 33,51. He's a non-elite lvl 29 - my lvl 25 Pally had no problem dispatching him (with one self-heal towards the end)

Soloed as a lv 24 hunter, kited him halfway to Menethil Harbour =)

He was walking around pretty much the whole excavation and I caught him close to the entrance.

I found him, L29 at 33,51 on top of a path overlooking the quarry.

He's at 32:51, but the slope you need to walk up starts at 31:48. I soloed him with my 26 warr. Charged, retaliation, do a couple of shouts, rend, heroic strike. Easy peasy.

Fight didn't last long enough for me to "printscreen" it. It was there, a wandering level 29 critter. I Fireblast it, got resisted. It runned to me, I Cone of Cold it, got another resist.

Seeing it's tooth far too clearly, I no choice but to either root it there and catch up rethink my strategy or... chain Arcane Missile it while taking a single Healing Potion at mid-fight.

I think I still prefer my Cookie wand, even though I'm a 100% fire Mage :)

i found him up on the southern hill, you have to just run up the slope, look for the planks of wood indicating the path up.

I beat him with a level 25 frost mage. He resists a LOT of spells. Probably at least every other one. I had a lot of extra buffs on from scrolls also, and I had to use a potion in battle. He almost killed me but I eventually got him with a wand. Quest cashes in for close to 3000 experience (I think it was 2950). Definately worth it. I can confirm that he's right in that area with the yellow circle on the map.

It is always in the same spot, in that valey, but you need to climb up the southern hill.

Had never seen him except on the ridge before. Today after fighting all the way there (no evidence of anyone else around), I was surprised not to find him there. Eventually found him roaming the lower areas. He wasn't in one spot, but I saw him roam a large area before I cleared a spot and pulled him.

If not killed for a while, he will start wandering around the lower area of the Excavation pit
