Mount Collection Tool Improvements - Achievement Criteria Counter

Following the launch of our
Mount Collection Tool
last month, we received lots of great feedback as to improvements and tweaks for the tool. Here's a look at what we've added in the past month, including an achievement criteria counter.

We've made some updates to our filters:
New
Unattainable
category and indicators for mounts you can no longer acquire, such as the
燃灰熊猫人凤凰缰绳
.
Some filters renamed to be more consistent with in-game names, such as Pet Store renamed to In-Game Shop.
You are no longer able to deselect every filter at once, so you aren't confused by a blank screen of results.
A common request for the tool was an achievement criteria counter, so you can determine how close a particular character is towards unlocking a new mount achievement and reward, such as
蹄声滚滚
. We also still track how many mounts your account has, and you can see your achievement progress by mousing over the reward icon to the left of the tracker.
We've also fixed some bugs related to tracking the
海鬃骏马
, the load character screen sometimes vanishing, and bugs preventing players from scrolling through all filter options.
Currently, we think the tool is in pretty good shape, but if there's an API for WoW Classic, which Blizzard
hinted at in their Wowhead interview
, we will convert this tool over for our Classic Wowhead Database.
What are the Collection Trackers?
We've long had various ways to track mounts and pets Wowhead, including the Profiler and Completion Progress in filters, but with these new tools we are happy to present a centralized resource dedicated to tracking mounts and pets.
In addition to seeing how many mounts and pets you have left to collect, you can filter by quality and source, click on the images to view them in our 3D model viewer, click on the items to read more about each mount or pet in our database, and easily navigate to related collection guides at the top of each tool. The Battle Pet tool will also display pet levels, quality, breeds, and favorite pets.
The Mount and Battle Pet Completion Tools also offers a one-click option to Pin your character, which enables collection tracking progress across the
entire
site! As you browse items in search results, filters, tooltips, and individual pages, look for the
Completion
area which indicates if you've acquired a mount or pet. Pinning a character will also track quest progress, all organized in our
WoW Quest Completion Tracker
.
Simply click the Red pin button at the top right of either the Mount or Battle pet collection pages to get started!
