7.1.5 PTR: Profession Recipes and Blacksmithing Quests
Today's 7.1.5 PTR preview covers professions on the PTR; following our
early item preview
, we've hopped on the PTR to hunt down some of the new recipes and quests.
Obliterum in 7.1.5 now has a cap of 10, up from 8:
Increases the item level of crafted armor by 5, up to a maximum level of 855.865.
Requires 2 Blood of Sargeras. Target item must be soulbound.
Blacksmithing started off as one of the most elaborate professions in WoW, with specializations players could choose to learn additional types of weapon or armor recipes, as well as very rare drops scattered all over the world. As time went on in WoW, the profession system was simplified and many zones were revamped in Cataclysm. Sadly, as a byproduct, many of these recipes were no longer obtainable for newer players...until now.
The 7.1.5 PTR adds recipes for several old-school weapons, including some that were datamined a decade ago and never made it to live servers. Acquiring these items will have a bit of a classic flair: you'll complete quests and be sent back to classic-era zones to gather the quest items. We hope some armor recipes will be added in the future, like
