it costs about 40s to make..

If you go to Master Builder's Shirt and preview the character on there thats the dark silk shirt i think he pasted it in the wrong item.

40s to make! You're full of !@#$.

Gray dye is like 3s. Then Fine Thread is 1s. They are cheaper if you have good reputation in the city you're buying them in.

Then kill like maybe 5 Kolkars in Desolace, any 25-40 humanoid, and get the silk to make the bolts of cloth. That is NOT 40s worth of work.

Well the dye and thread cost a massive 8s so that just leaves the 2 bolts of silk (each made up of 4 pieces of silk cloth) which is hardly bank breaking. Each piece of silk cloth is readily available in the AH for 3-4s which totals no more than 32s to make two bolts and that's assuming you don't just farm some quickly from the dozens of mobs that drop it readily. So apparently it's 40s (maximum) in materials plus an extra 60s for greed. I understand profit but 1 or 2g? The pattern itself is white and vendor-sold and only costs 11s so it's not like it's a rare world drop or something.

Tailoring guides recommend making Silk Headband at around 160; this is a viable alternative that requires less silk.
