This is definitely the best off-hand in the game. The stats aren't gimped, but the +spell damage, +hit and +crit are still all there as well. But, it is by far the hardest to get as well. Royal Scepter of Vek'lor is a good alternative: https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=21597. Sapphiron's Left Eye is just an upgrade of the Royal Scepter of Vek'lor.

The best off-hand for warlocks and mages, it has crit, hit, dps, some stam and intellect.

People can't seem to comprhend that damage isn't everything. Yes, the AV reward offhands have more damage, but they have much less stats, and have NO HIT, and NO CRIT. The hit and crit are worth SO MUCH MORE than the extra 8 damage or so. And the extra Mana and HP is just makes it even more superior.

even if you are talking about the HWL/GM offhand this still beats them. that +crit and +hit is what makes the difference on them. yes the rank 14 has better stats and the +dmg is SLIGHTLY worse but still the naxx is better. and dont even go with the AV stuff. this BLOWS them away. BUT this is barely better than the scepter of emp vek.

That's quite a disappointing upgrade over VekLor's Szepter, like the Right Eye is not that much better than Sartura's Might.
