Angelista's Touch drops off the Triumvirate in the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. Angelista's Touch is finger armor for tanks. 100 armor is a consistent .05% mitigation rate of every physical attack you take. Let's assume you're fighting Sartura, and that Sartura hits for 1000 every hit (huge assumption, I know): Over the course of 6 minutes you will be hit for roughly 400 dmg every second (again, hypothetical). That's 240000 dmg over the course of the fight. Assume you have that extra 132 AC from Vek'Lor; .005/100 * 132 = .0066% mitigation.
240000 * .0066 = 1584 dmg mitigated.

Now, take 1% dodge. That's a 1% chance at 100% mitigation, or exactly 1% mitigation of total dmg taken (theoretical, but that's math). 240000 *.01 = 2400 dmg mitigated during the course of the fight. That's 151% of the mitigation 132 armor offers.

One thing to consider, is that neither stat will greatly affect a critical or crushing blow. If a mob hits for 1k normally, and you mitigate 6.6 dmg from it, you still took 993.4 dmg. If that is followed by a critical hit or crushing blow, and you're already 993.4 hp short, you have a significant risk of dying.

If, instead, you have that dodge kick in on that prior hit, you're sitting pretty at full hp, more than able to survive the oncoming crit. While this was worst, and best case, scenarios, the 66 dmg has absolutely no effect on your chance to live or die, while the dodge can literally spare you and the raid.

Armor, quite frankly, is not a fair trade with dodge or parry, at least not in amounts below 200 AC, and even still, it's not quite comparable. Despite an equal level of total mitigation in a fight between 200 ac and 1% dodge, the 200 AC will still barely scratch the surface of the incoming dmg from a potential crit, whereas dodge has a chance of completely avoiding it alltogether.

1% dodge = to 100 Armor? Wow...just WOW.

100 Armor is basically ZERO mitigation. 1% dodge is a 1% chance to TOTALLY avoid a hit. Be that a 5 point hit from a level 2 mob or a 3000 point hit from Rag. Any warrior worth a damn will draw their own conclustions from these retarded posts.

as a tanking ring, it does everything a tanking ring should

that doesnt mean its perfect. relatively speaking to other tanking rings, it has low stamina and lower defense when compared to exalted BoN ring or the twin emps ring. the full 1% to dodge is awesome.

when a tank builds his gear, it needs to be balanced, and if your gear can handle the relatively less stam but needs the full dodge, well, this is the ring for you then.
