you have to kill elite ogres for the recipe to drop, dont kill the non-elite ogres for hours... just kill elite ogres in alterac or stormgrade keep

This item remains in your bag after obtaining the rune. I am pretty sure it is safe to delete when you are done :)

Most important thing is this is a shared drop. Just did this with another warrior and we were both concerned one would get it and not the other but was significantly easier together and so grouped and hoped for the best and when it dropped we both looted it.
