The best dps caster cloak for PvE until Cloak of the Devoured from C'thun. very impressive for a 20 man boss drop.

My guild is at Loatheb, and I still use this because we've only seen one cloak off C'Thun. The +1 to hit makes it better (for bosses) than anything you can get before Naxx/C'Thun. The cloak off Nefarian (Cloak of the Brood Lord) is still better against mobs lower than Lv63 though.

Great cloak and very easy to attain, especially given its Stats and Spell Damage.

I might consider upgrading to Veil of Eclipse from Razuvious, but that's about it. Nef's cloak isn't that much of a gain except possibly for AOE situations where the hit wouldn't matter and the extra stam would be appreciated.

lock mage and dps priest(shadow) cloak.for druids my idea is if u heal use + healing item, if u wanna dps, go melee, same goes healing spec priest get yr +healing gear and do yr job right

there only 3 nice + dmg cloak out there , one drop frm Nef , one frm Sack of Spoils (dukes signet in silithus,BoE and it s blue) and this one.

i m very happy got this one,since resist is a quite
big pblem for 60s caster.if i remember right for lv 63 mobs there somehow got 17% base resist ,so Hit=>+dmg>STAM>INT>CRIT.

i m a mage on a PvE server btw.

Well, I don't understand how most of you got to lvl 60 trying to kick this type of logic. If you knew anything about offensive casters (i.e. Warlocks and Mages -- forget druids/ priests/ shamans they should be doing their real job in MC/ZG/ONY/BWL, healing)you would know that for instances %hit is better then %crit. Your damage conversion actually ends up being better the majority of the time, and for poly and banish abilities it helps as well as not getting dot's resisted. Also, idk who the idiot was that said %crit and +spell dmg didn't help warlocks, and since it doesn't have stam on it it isnt for warlocks. First of all, the best DPS locks run a 30/0/21 build and crit is very necessary. It's called a shadowbolt fool. Also, +damage helps all offensive casters damage, that means dots just as much as direct damage, which warlocks are doing both all the time. Considering warlocks tend to have an assload of stam anyway, this cloak is robbing them of a minimal amount of stam. The %hit and +spell dmg far outweigh any loss of stam. Most of the posters here are friggin noobs and should probably play a lvl 60 warlock before making any more stupid comments about gear distribution and usefullness. We all know this is for hunters anyway, %to hit and spell dmg for arcane shot and the 10 int for the mana pool...

this cloak in my opinion is the second best casters cloak. indeed came from hakkar, the easiest boss in azeroth to down (becides maybe bloodlord also from ZG). Sick item for us warlocks :)

i think i will write a synopsis in the near future, which explains how good shadowpriests work in zg/mc/bwl...

and then post it as reply to every "priest only can heal!" nonsense found here on thott :D

i have saphiron cape atm, but as i do mc/zg/bwl mainly as dd meanwhile (priest here btw) i might be lured to get this with my dkp.

ah, and btw, we kill ragna with 6 priests, 2 shadow doing full dmg, 2 disc, 2 holy.

@zg we do damage except for hakkar, have to see him after the patch.

@bwl it depends on which boss to kill :D

There is no reason a shadow priest shouldn't go for this.

There is no reason a fair DKP wouldn't allow him/her to.

To solve the who-should-get-this issue:

IF your primary role in a raid is to deal spell-based damage THEN this is easily the best option for you pre-BWL.

Mages
Warlocks
Shadow Priests
Moonkin Druids

IF your primary role in a raid is to heal THEN get Hide of the Wild, its easier to obtain and better, while this is more suited to DPS.

Other priests
Resto druids
MOST Paladins and Shamen

IF your primary role is NOT to deal spell-based damage in a raid BUT it is your secondary role (Such as half-shadow Priests, balance/resto Druids and most Shamen, some Paladins) THEN you can make use of this but not as much as primary DPS classes. Most guilds (by no means the better ones, by no means the worse) will not allow you to bid on this and similar items. Its the way it is.

Raids mostly base who-gets-what on what helps the raid the most, then by DKP within that scope of eligible players. If the 600 DKP Paladin and the 40 DKP mage both wand this, the mage will get it because he will use this at all times while a Paladin will 75%+ be using Hide of the Wild.

It drops off Hakkar, and for those of you wondering, its one of the best Spell DPS cloaks in the game, and definately the best for a pre-BWL level.

i totally agree with the guy above me, healers dont have to worry about tank resisting heals...rofl....priority should go to mages and locks,healers have no use for a +chance to hit, they dont do dmg spells, they do healing, and ive yet to see our tank resist a heal...lol

This should be nerfed or something, it's almost better then the cloak of brood lord and it drops from last BWL boss, and this PWNS Sapphiron Drape.

It would be so nice 2 have sta instead of int.

Of course u need resistances and sta. But sapphiron drape is not the best for this.
