Which section of DM do these drop in? I guess because people who know don't want other rogues filling their parties, no one, even people already have it, seems to know which section that boss is in on my server...

There is more to be said about dagger skill and this item overall.

I. What you gain
A. Each skill point in daggers = .04% chance to crit vs. same level. thus 1% crit + 5 skill = 1.2% crit chance increased. Best belt for a Seal Fate build. 30 agility = 1% crit.

B. Skill increases your chance to hit against any level. Want your gouges and kidneys dodged, blocked, or parried? In PVP, from my experience level does not matter in skill, but +skill does matter at any level. If you dont believe this, try fighting a warrior with +30 defense in items (not an uncommon amount) and see how you do.

C. 160 HP. 60 more than SC, 100 more than the LBRS quest belt.

II. What you lose
A. Attack power. You lose 23atk from SC. 1 strength = 1 attack power, 1 agility = 1 attack power.

B. Dodge %. Of course this is only useful in melee and not against warriors except in very large amounts. Only very low or high amounts of dodge frustrate warriors, because they wont be able to Hamstring on very high, or Overpower on very low. 15 agility = 1% dodge.

C. Spirit from Shadowcraft. Never unerestimate regen in stealth.

III. Conclusion
A. This item is for the player who plays a rogue in a more thuglike manner.

Has anyone ever got this out of the Gordok Tribute?

I've gone up against Gromcrush 3 or 4 times and he crumbles the tank each time.

So, I've got the recipe for the suit and am getting groups together for that in the hopes that the belt drops in the Tribute.

i hate to break it to you but in the last patch ambush and back stab was totally pimped out i switched to dagger rogue and now im allways at the top of dps list because my crit chance is so high. my back stab =55% chance to crit and ambush = 70% chance to crit.. look at your tallent tree and go 21/8/22. criting with back stab and ambush is like 1k damage and your spamming sinister strike getting like wot 500damage on crits? and its only like 20% chance to crit? heh anyway this belt is awesome to add to my crit gear collection :P

you forgot about energy costs of backstab and sinister strike... backstab is 60 energy while sinister is 40 so u do get more sinisterstrikes than backstabs

usually, i find that i can do 2 backstabs or, 3 sinisters on one full energybar because of the energy tick.

i know to each his own but my gut feeling is that my 2 backstabs are more damaging than 3 sinisters (even if switched to a sword), especially since my crit chance is alot higher with backstab.

this is a pretty good belt, I just got mine today on my first run of DM ever, and also got the sword that drops from observer, also good, well, better than thrash blade(what i was using), but anyways i like this belt and i would use it over SC until you get 6 pieces of SC, then this one is out

does this also drop from the tribute chest or do i have to kill kromkrush?

he's terribly hard himself,but the 2 adds which spawn in the end of the fight crumble our group everytime -.-

i've killed this guy 9 times now and he hasn't dropped the belt.

but the good thing is they made it recently that if u kill kromcrush, it doesn't effect your tribute.

so put your suits away and get some rogue loots guys, make ur tribute group drop him.

spread out so u don't get hit by the aoe fear, he spawns two ogres at 40% that immediatly go for the healer.

Why the hell do you compare this belt with SC?
they both sucks, get Frostbite Girdle,
from Ras Frostwhisper. fairly easy to get and it's the best belt outside MC/ZG/BWL.
Even w/o the 10 frost resistance, it's better, so that 10 frost resistance is just a pluss.

can't believe it - if I see another set of boots of the moon I will weep...

this guy is tough but if you sheep one add and get a paladin to off tank the 2nd add, and everyone else stay on boss, you really should take him out no problem.

He's harder than the king to be honest.

Everyone else I go to DM with gets their item on like the first or 2nd run... it kills me that this belt won't drop

Has anyone seen this drop recently? Im really surprised not to have sen it after 17 kills - I have tarnished elven rings coming out my ears but i cant get this to drop

I'm having a hard time convincing any groups to even kill this guy, can anyone confirm killing him won't affect the tribute?

I've killed him 21 times - I've also done about 15 tribute runs

The tributes on the majority of the Kromcrush runs were 2 blues - I had a couple of single blue tributees - but no more than 3 out of the 21

Considering kromcrush ALWAYS drops a blue, and that the tribute WITHOUT killing him is normally 3 blues (though quite frequently it is only 2) you essentially exhange a blue from kromcrush for a blue from the tribute

So kill kromcrush gets you 2 blues minimum/more often 3

Full tribute gets you 2 blues minimum/more often 3

There's no difference.

Saying it "ruins" the tribute is brainless nonsense.

This is one of the best belts in the game for boss fights. Why? The +5 daggers. Mobs 2 or more levels higher than you, especially boss mobs, have a glancing blow mechanic which happens quite often and reduces the damage you deal by quite a bit. +weapon skill helps reduce and even negate this.

I hope to get this myself to counter the glancing blow mechanics on end-game bosses. A dagger rogue with Aged Corehound Gloves and this belt will easily help him/herself to the top of the DPS chart in end-game instances. It was seen that +10 to daggers on a dagger rogue is all that is necessary to completely stop all glancing blows, so no more than that +10 dagger skill is needed (no need to hunt for more +dagger skill gear).

If you read the part of the guide I mentioned and linked above, you will see that the glancing blow testing done was done on 63 elites. It was shown that against +3 mobs only +10 dagger skill was needed to completely reduce the severity of a glancing blow.

yeah it would! i have full shadowcraft and distracting in offhand but i plan on dropping my SC belt for this thing when i get it. think about it, you get 5 skill for each level... so 313 from shadowcraft+distracting+this (SC is 2 btw you nub) means you'll be hitting level 62 mobs as easily as a 60 and a 60 as easily as a 58, totally worth it.

i didnt get any shadow craft, but i got the belt and distracting dagger. 311 daggers is nice. its noticeable how much faster you kill things and how much more life you are left with after the fight, when you are grinding same level non elites.

He is harder than final boss, you need a very good warrior and at least a mage.

He is a hard alone yet he calls 2 reavers in the middle of the fight

This belt is worth it to fight this boss. He is hella hard to kill so bring along a WELL equipt warrior and enough healing power to keep him alive. He has one-shotted me more than once, he killed me through a priest sheild and still hit me for 3.5k
I can solo 58-59 elites rather easily and some 60elites but it really depends on what 60elite it is but I notice a big difference in this with the distracting dagger. My only regret is that I passed on the Aged core leather gloves last week for the extra +5 on daggers :( .
