Morphaz and Hazzas are the sixth boss encounter in
沉没的神庙
. They're two of the four eager drakes under the direct command of Eranikus.
Morphaz and Hazzas Primary Abilities
:
Hazzas will cast these three main abilities throughout the fight:
- Tailswipe damaging ability, also knocks players back if hit.
- DoT ability.
- Frontal Damaging breath ability, also applies a dot on players hit.
The dot also becomes a forced tank swap mechanic, causing this to become a two tank fight.
- Cast at the start of phase 2 (80%), summons fire elemental enemies which drop fire patches on the floor.
- Cast at the start of both phase 2 (80%) and phase 3 (30%). Applies
on every player, sending them down to
's room.

- DPS Check mechanic which upon finishing its cast kills everyone with the
debuff.
Morphaz and Hazzas Strategy
The fight is divided into three phases:
Phase 1 (100%-80%):
Tanks should keep the boss stationary to avoid players getting randomly hit by either
from the front, or
from the back of the boss. Once hit by the
twice, or thrice at most if you want to risk it, tanks should swap in order to reduce damage taken and allow healers to keep up. If
is cast, be ready to outheal it.
Phase 2: (80%-30%):
At the very start of Phase 2,
will cast
which will summon fire elementals. Try to stack these up and kill them as soon as possible. Don't die to the fire patches dropped on the floor by them. While dealing with the fire elementals, it's important to remember to still respect the three first mechanics from phase 1.
After these fire elementals are summoned, the boss will then cast
, which will send everyone downstairs to
, where he can take extra damage but causes the fight to become messier. An easy way to deal with this is, just before the boss finishes the
cast, everyone can jump onto the fire patches left by the
fire elementals, which applies the
debuff. This keeps the players awake, as well as making those with it able to wake players who didn't get it by running through them.
This way everyone will instantly be back in
's room and continue the fight as before.
Phase 3 (30%-0%):
At the start of phase 3,
will again cast
, sending players below to
's room where he'll begin casting
. This is a raid-wide wipe mechanic that kills everyone with the
debuff. To do this mechanic properly, simply beat the damage check and the cast will be canceled.
All the while, you'll be dodging bouncing
. Do this and you'll kill the boss.

Tips for Tanks on Morphaz and Hazzas
Tank the boss always facing the same way to avoid getting players knocked back by the tailswipe; or killed by the frontal breath.
Aim to keep the
debuff below 2 stacks, as 3 or more are likely to get you killed.
Tips for Melee on Morphaz and Hazzas
Melee damage dealers should always stay at the side of the boss, in order to not get knocked back nor debuffed by the frontal breath.
Save any heavy AoE/cleave tools with long cooldowns at the start until the
cast (80% hp) to deal with the fire elementals easily.
Run into the fire patches at start of phase 2 once
is about to finish its cast in order to avoid getting taken down (if that's your chosen strategy).
Saving longer damage cooldowns until phase 3 (30%) can be a good idea if your raid is lacking the dps otherwise.
Tips for Ranged on Morphaz and Hazzas
Ranged damage dealers should always stay at the side of the boss, in order to not get knocked back nor debuffed by the frontal breath.
Save any heavy AoE/cleave abilities with long cooldowns that might also be single target DPS gain at the start, until the
cast (80% hp) to deal with the fire elementals easily.
Saving longer damage cooldowns until phase 3 (30%) can be a good idea if your raid is lacking the dps otherwise.
Tips for Healers on Morphaz and Hazzas
As a healer, look out for the tanks' debuff from
, as this will massively increase their danger of death at 2 stacks and above.

Are you sure dreamer's lament is dispellable? I have never seen any log of it being dispelled, also not listed as a magic effect on wowhead

Broken fight after (and before, ackchyually) recent fixes. Just kill one add, take debuff, heal it, then at 30% burst in other form. Ridiculous.

Don't forget during both dream phases the boss takes
100% more damage
so it behoves you to spend some time in the dream phase to keep the fight from lasting forever. We have people burn CD's in that first phase if they are not longer than 2 min. Everyone else and PI's are saved for the last burn phase.
