Ashbringer - Season of Discovery

In Phase 8 of Season of Discovery, players can obtain Ashbringer. In this guide, we will break down the questline and detail what is needed to obtain this sword.
Season of Discovery Phase 8 Overview
Obtaining Ashbringer in Season of Discovery
堕落的灰烬使者
is a Legendary sword acquired through a series of quests that became available in Phase 8 of Season of Discovery.
Who Can Obtain Ashbringer
The Ashbringer can be obtained by Warriors, Hunters, and Paladins only.
Reforging the Blade in Season of Discovery
To start the questline, players must defeat

in the Scarlet Enclave raid and loot

. This will begin the

quest, and the journey to reassemble the shattered pieces of the Ashbringer begins:
First, find

Omarion will give you the quest
, and since you brought the 10

(you did bring them, right?), you can turn it in right away.
The next quest is
, which requires you to loot 12

. These drop from bosses in the Scarlet Enclave raid, and can drop before you are on this quest. You also get one per week from the

After gathering the

and returning them to Omarion, he asks you to find him at the Blacksmith inside the Scarlet Enclave raid. The next quest is called

, and the name is accurate. It requires you to gather the following materials:

After turning in these items, there is no follow up quest. It's now time to take the fight to

The Ashbringer
. This requires you to equip the Hilt, use it to summon
and speak with the spirit. The spirit tells us that "the darkness on Mograine's soul must be excised" in order to restore the legendary sword. He then gives us the
On Fate's Path
quest, sending us to find Omarion inside the Scarlet Enclave raid.
Return to Omarion at the Blacksmith in New Avalon while in the raid. After speaking with him and accepting the quest
The Blade Reformed
, Omarion performs a little RP and crafts the

Use the

Once you have all three of these items, you will be able to combine them into the

Be aware, when you equip it all Argent Dawn NPCs turn hostile.
Make sure you are a good distance outside of Light's Hope Chapel before equipping it. Use it to summon the Will of the Ashbringer once again.
Getting to Hyjal in Season of Discovery
The next step is to earn access to

. Speak with
to complete
A Difficult Path
, and then accept
Journey To Moonglade
.
Travel to
月光林地
and find
(/way 52.3, 42.9). After speaking with her, she will give you
The Druid of the Talon
and send you to find
outside of Everlook, in

requires you to loot 15

Take Their Breath Away
requires you to collect 10

With both crates and glands in hand, return to
and turn in the quests. She will give you

and then promptly fly with you to

as soon as you accept the quest. Once there, turn in the quest and use

Now, use the

. Then, bring it to the waters of the Well of Eternity, which is the pool underneath Nordrassil, and use the item to quench it. This will, in turn, create the

. Use it to summon the Will of the Ashbringer and accept the next quest,

Reawakening the Blade in Season of Discovery
Next, you must travel to the
血色修道院
, specifically the Cathedral part of the dungeon. With the

equipped, all of the mobs inside the dungeon will be friendly, and many of them will bow to you as you pass them. Head all the way inside the actual cathedral, and face
血色十字军指挥官莫格莱尼
. This will initiate the original RP event that was present in Vanilla, where

appears and slays his own son (you can watch the entire event

Mograine seems to have a unique view of forgiveness.

But this appears to be bad news for us. The Highlord did not forgive his son, and in speaking with him we are given the quest
The Lonely Path of the Damned
, and are sent back to
玛克斯韦尔·泰罗索斯男爵
at Light's Hope Chapel.
Again, having the corrupted blade equipped will have all Argent Dawn NPCs be hostile towards you.
Unequip it before returning to Light's Hope Chapel.
After turning in the quest to Maxwell,
will spawn next to the stairs and offer you
A Kind of Peace
. The Spirit will open a portal into Naxxramas, and you must face the
alone.

The Spirit of Mograine Fight in Season of Discovery
The
fight has two phases, and will require you to kite the boss around the room, while defeating adds and avoiding mechanics.
's Abilities:
The boss has a shield at the beginning of the fight, and can't be damaged.
Every 15-20 seconds he will cast
Shadow Cleave
, dealing lethal damage in a cone in front of him.
Avoid the frontal cone.

Add Abilities:
There are four
纳克萨玛斯之影
in the room, one in each corner. These mobs continuously spew out swirlies around themselves - don't stand in them.
Once killed, they cast
Piercing Shadow
. If the boss is close to the mob as the cast finishes, its shield is removed for 30 seconds.
Avoid the swirlies, and keep the boss close when Piercing Shadow goes off.

Environmental Abilities:
is present throughout the fight, spawning Orbs of Light around the room. Walking over these restore a large amount of Health and Mana, and gives you a speed boost for a few seconds.

As the fight progresses, the other Horsemen will spawn in the center of the room. They are untargetable, but will begin spawning two additional mechanics in the room:
Meteors
will begin falling towards the ground, dealing a large amount of damage on impact.
Void Zones
will spawn around the room. They deal a large amount of damage when stood in.
Avoid the Meteor's point of impact, and don't stand in Void Zones.

Phase 1 Strategy:
To defeat the
you will have to kite the boss to a
纳克萨玛斯之影
, kill it and keep the boss close to remove his shield. In the 30 seconds the shield is down, deal as much damage as possible. When the shield is back up, kite the boss to a new Shade and repeat the process.
Make sure to avoid Mograine's frontal Shadow Cleave, as well as the different AoE effects going around the room.
If you need health or mana, pick up an Orb of Light.
Please note, these can despawn, so keep an eye on how long they have been up.
Phase 2 Strategy:
At 30% health, the boss will run into the center of the room and become invulnerable to damage. At the same time, the spirit of
血色十字军指挥官莫格莱尼
will spawn at the entrance of the room and be surrounded by three
纳克萨玛斯之影
. These Shades slow the movement speed of the spirit. Kill them, and the spirit will move faster towards the center of the room.
Once the spirit reaches the boss, the boss dies.

Kind of underwhelming that instead of the cleansed version Caldoran is holding we get corrupted Ashbringer again with better stats

For everything in Hyjal and Winterspring you can be in a group and all dropsare shared so dont be greedy.
For the Mograine fight no kiting is really needed. The Spirits of Naxxramas respawn at almost the exact rate of the shielf recharge. You can just sit Mograinne on one spot where the shades spawn and move just to heal off an orb. The corrupted ashbringer is useful for the lifesteal if youre having trouble with uptime even unenchanted. Zeliac also does his chain lightning for about 1500 or maybe % based. I think he targets a shade and it bounces to deal damage. Very little you can do here except maybe pop a Holy prot to attempt to mitigate this

Use the non-legendary Corrupted Ashbringer for the fight even without enchant, it is MUCH easier (it does not suffer from the reduced healing debuff).
