This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the Majordomo encounter in Molten Core. Majordomo Executus is the penultimate fight of the raid
Loot
In addition to loot, each add killed through the Majordomo encounter awards 20 Reputation with the

Before the Pull
Majordomo Executus won't be able to be engaged before a very special task is accomplished: The boss won't appear in Molten Core until all 8 first bosses have been defeated, and all 7 runes of warding have been extinguished with the help of
水之精萃
s. There are 7 runes in total to extinguish, with Lucifron not having one near him.

There are 9 enemies in this fight:

, this can be quite overwhelming if you were to attempt to take on all 9 enemies at once; so, it's worth taking the time to assign a few targets to CC, Kite, or offtank.

should be tanked out of the way on the far side of the coal pit found in the boss room, Majordomo can't be killed so you just need to keep him occupied while you clear out his Flamewaker companions.

are immune to CC and either need to be kited away by a

or tanked, kiting these adds can alleviate a lot of the stress of the fight especially in low gear levels.

should be crowd controlled at the start of the fight by having

, after you deal with the initial elites you can start to focus the healers one by one.
Majordomo Abilities and Strategy
You don't defeat Majordomo directly, instead you are focused on killing his 8 Flamewaker companions. Once you've dealt with all 8 adds Majordomo will stop the fight and reward you with loot via

Majordomo Executus
Majordomo's main mechanic will come in the form of providing several different shields to his Flamewaker allies, dealing with each shield appropriately will be the key to ending the fight smoothly.

This ability shields all of Majordomo's allies and gives them an absorb shield for 30,000 damage, in addition melee attackers take 250 damage if they attack into this shield. With everyone focusing the same mob this shield will fade quickly and should be pretty much a non-issue, the obvious thing to watch for with this ability is to not accidentally kill yourself as a melee attacker.

In a similar vein to Aegis of Ragnaros, this ability should be a non-issue as the damage that it deals can be easily healed through.

And finally we have the most dangerous ability of the fight in

, this ability is particularly dangerous to casters as you can very easily take yourself out of the fight if you aren't paying attention. This ability should cause casters to be especially careful about casting into enemies that have this shield.

And finally you have an ability that only pertains to the person tanking Majordomo himself, this ability will teleport Majordomo's primary threat target into the coals found at the center of the boss room, because of this you will want to position Majordomo on the opposite side of the coals so the tank can easily pick the boss back up as he runs towards the raid.

Majordomo is assisted by four Flamewaker Elites who will need to be either tanked, or kited by a
猎人
, these adds ultimately aren't very threatening and as your gear level increases you can even have one tank holding two adds at a single time. In your first few kills of this fight I would highly recommend kiting one or more of these adds to simplify the encounter and get one step closer to Ragnaros.
Unlike the healers in this fight, the Flamewaker Elites cannot be crowd controlled.

Majordomo is assisted by 4 Flamewaker Healers who have a slurry of pesky abilities, luckily for us they can be crowd controlled and with solid group coordination they should be easily taken out of the fight one by one.
The best way to CC these adds is to bring enough
法师
s to use
on an assigned add until the mob is ready to be killed. It's also important to note that once 4 enemies have been defeated during the encounter, the remaining enemies become immune to any further CC.
Add Abilities
Majordomo's Allies have a small arsenal of abilities that add a bit of extra damage to the fight, non of these abilities can be prevented and all of them can be easily healed through, but for the sake of being as prepared as possible we can take a look at what these enemies will be casting.

This ability is an instant cast shadow damage ability, it isn't a significant amount of damage but you'll want to make sure that your tanks are fully topped at all times to avoid being burst down.

Similar to Shadow Shock, this is simply an instant cast ability that deals fire damage.

The last two abilities that we'll see the mobs casting are Shadow Bolt and Fireball, these spells can be interrupted and should be easily kicked assuming the group is correctly CCing the other mobs.

the guide is not fully correct the flamewaker healers become immune to CC once 4 adds have been killed in the fight

Our best strategy:
Have two hunters kite two Elites away. Sheep all Healers.
Have four tanks, one tank for Executus, one for each Elite, one offtank (maybe feral) as a backup and/or to pick out new targets. The boss tank should position himself on the left near the ramp and keep Executus on the far side to pick him up quicker after the teleport. The rest should move to the right and away from the CC'ed Healers.
Focus one Elite. Once that Elite is down to 40-30%, have the offtank un-sheep one of the healers, kill the first Elite, then kill off the healers one by one, always picking out the next before the previous one dies (to make the process a bit more controlled), then finally kill the second Elite. By the time you are halfway through this process, your Hunters can feign death. The kited Elites should return around the same time as the second Elite dies. If they return sooner, have one be picked up by the boss tank, one by the tank of the first Elite.
It might take some time, but once everyone knows what to do it will get you a very easy and clean kill.
