Welcome to Wowhead's Classic Profession Guide for
. First Aid is one of three secondary professions in Classic, alone with

. Players can learn all three secondary skills in addition to two primary professions, such as

. The maximum First Aid skill is 300.
First Aid enables players to craft and heal themselves with bandages and craft Anti-Venom to remove poison effects. These items can also be used on other players, as well as some NPCs and pets. Bandages can be crafted from cloth (

, etc) that drops from most humanoids, with higher quality cloth producing more effective bandages. First Aid should be one of the earliest professions you pick up, as the self-heals provided while leveling are very useful, especially if you play a class that does not have a self-heal. Anti-Venom consumables can be crafted from venom sacs that drop from venomous monsters (

, etc) such as scorpids, spiders, and most insectoid creatures.
This guide will cover the aspects of First Aid such as the benefits and uses of First Aid, trainer locations, where to get recipes, and a suggested route to level your skill points from 1-300.

First Aid Overview in WoW Classic
First Aid is a separate secondary skill in WoW Classic, which is important to mention to players that may only be playing in more recent expansions for WoW. This was removed as a separate skill in Battle for Azeroth and folded into Tailoring. In Classic, everyone can learn to make bandages and use them.
Players must have First Aid skill to use bandages and Anti-Venom, not just make bandages. However, they can use higher-level bandages than they may be able to make. For example,

requires First Aid (225) to use, but requires First Aid (280) to make. Players below level 35 can't learn First Aid above level 225, since the quest to advance
past
First Aid (225) is level restricted, but a very low-level character with help from wealthier mains can learn First Aid
up to
225, since learning First Aid isn't level restricted until Artisan.
First Aid helps reduce downtime between battles, as bandages restore health post-combat. Classes with healing spells will also benefit from First Aid, as using a bandage will help conserve mana.

players can also apply bandages to their pets and demons respectively.
In groups, First Aid helps conserve healers' mana, as bandages will allow players to heal themselves and each other while they're not actively taking damage.
In PvP encounters, players can use bandages to restore their health while in combat or provide triage to other injured players that are not actively taking damage.

The following shopping list is for the minimum number of materials you will need to complete this leveling path. As you get into yellow difficulty levels (or worse, green), you may require more materials if you are unlucky.

Leveling First Aid 1-300 in WoW Classic
As with all professions in World of Warcraft, the player gains skill points when performing a specific task (crafting an item, harvesting a node, skinning a beast, etc). The frequency at which the player earns these skill points is relative to their current skill level. This is denoted by four color codes:
Orange: 100% chance for a skillup
Yellow: Frequently
Green: Infrequently
Grey: Never
Leveling up First Aid is pretty simple as the profession only has a total of 13 recipes (9 of which are learned from trainers).

First Aid Trainers, Book, and Quest in WoW Classic
Players can train Apprentice
急救
from any First Aid trainer, located in each major city and several other towns (typically in a starting zone such as Durotar's Razor Hill).
However, trainers can only train Apprentice and Journeyman levels. After that, you need to get Expert from a BoE book for Expert, and Artisan is learned from a quest that requires both First Aid (225) and character level 35.

In this quest, you must save 15 patients without having 6 patients die. The provided

to save the patients. Fortunately, you can do this as many times as needed. The soldiers will appear as Critically Injured, Badly Injured, and Injured; this puts a health bar on them that reduces faster the more badly injured the soldier appears. A Critically Ill Soldier will die must quicker than an Injured one.
Before you start:
When you start the quest, six soldiers with different injury levels will appear on rugs, and you must bandage them to save them. As you save one, a new one will spawn in its place.
Prioritize healing soldiers in the following order:
Critically Injured
Badly Injured
Injured
Most recent spawn
Completing this quest teachers

Every profession guide I have seen from wowhead for classic has been awful, what's going on with that?

The Triage quest to get skill 225 is a GROUP Quest.
If you are in a group with another person who needs the quest then they get the option to do the quest as well as long as they have accepted the first part before the other person begins the quest.
This makes it a lot easier as you only have to do 15 patients between you and patients wont have time to get critically ill and die.

You must reach 240 First Aid skill before you have the option to learn

This Classic WoW First Aid leveling guide will show you the fastest way how to get your First Aid skill up from 1 to 300. Since First Aid does not take up one of the two profession slots, every player can get it without penalty. It's recommended to all classes as a way of reducing downtime between battles, by quickly restoring health after combat. It is highly recommended for melee classes without healing abilities.

I have done this guide about 5 times now, and I tend to use somewhere between 20 to 30 extra bandages than what is expected. It seems as some parts of it expect you to have a 100% skill up rate even when you are leveling something at yellow and/or green levels.

i can't find a way to increase my level of first aid from 225 to 240 for the heavy mageweave and when i went to theramore to see about the dr. helping, he offered me triage at my 225 and yes, i boosted a mage from 22 to 58. i'm wasting my mageweave and not getting anywhere. the trainer at the cathedral is not offering an upgrade. i wanted to level my skills before i went into outland

I completed the doctor's quest to save the variously injured soldiers in Theramore, and he did NOT offer to increase my skill past my capped 225. I had to go to Stormwind where the first aid trainer in the Cathedral of Light DID let me train Artisan. I am not sure if it changed with WotLK pre-patch, but that is how to get Artisan now after completing the Triage quest.

I'm lvl 37 and my first aid skill is 225 but I can't pick up the quest Triage from Doctor Gregory Victor, does spmebody know why? Questie show this quest as red but when I interact with npc he dont have any quest for me... :(
