I have been playing on a free to play account and really like the game. I would love to get the World of Warcraft®: Complete Collection but its price is a bit high. Should i just buy one of the expansions then buy the other later or just buy the complete collection?

Buy the complete and get your level 100 boost for having Legion.

Thats cool but are the expansions worth getting in a bundle? like the content in both expansions worth getting now? or should i just buy the base game and legion?

What I'd do is buy the base game, level your character to 100. Once there, evaluate if Legion is now included in the base game or not. If not, and you don't see anything about it but you really want to level to 110, then go ahead and buy Legion.

There's only one expansion: Legion. You get Vanilla to Warlords now when you buy the base game, so just buy them both.

Just looked at the "Complete Collection" it comes with the base game, legion and bfa preorder. So for 89.99 you save 30 from buying individually. Legion with be included in the base game come BFA which would save you an extra 10 if you wait to play legion content until BFA but 89.99 for everything including BFA preorder is a good deal. If I'm not mistaken also comes with 30 days game time.

Let's clear up a little detail here, and I'll use more words and links than Adam did so maybe it's more clear:
If you don't want to pay for the game, you do the free download. You can play up to level 20.
If you're having fun and want to see more, go ahead and pay Blizzard $50. (
https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/world-of-warcraft-battle-for-azeroth
) That gets you a pre-order for Battle For Azeroth, which includes every single expansion that came before, including the current one, Legion. You can opt to pay for the Digital Deluxe edition from that same link, but it doesn't give you more "game," just "stuff" for all Blizzard games.

Your account must already have the base game and Legion to pre-order Battle for Azeroth.
The complete collection contains three things:
World of Warcraft
- This includes the base game and the first 5 expansions up to level 100. This also includes 30 days of game time. After that you will need a
subscription
to keep playing
Legion
- The current expansion which goes up to level 110. This also includes the ability to boost one character to level 100 instantly.
Battle for Azeroth
Pre-Order - This is the next expansion which will be released later this year. This also includes one level 110 boost.
If you want to use the boosts to start playing the newest expansion right away then the complete collection seems like a good deal.
If you don't plan to use the boosts soon then I would save some money for now and just get the
base game
.

Thank you for all replies! I think i, going to wait a little bit and try out the classes before i decide. Im just worried about sinking the 90 bucks for the complete edition then getting bored. Do you guys have any tips to not get bored? like things besides questing to do? I like the game so far but i always seem to dread whenever i see a new quest pop up on the map. Dont know why but i just do lol.

Hate to say it but if you dread quests then WoW is not for you because that's all there is to progress in the game. During content droughts like there is one now, I level new characters or work on achievements that I don't have.

There is so much to do in this game, and so many games within the game. I've been a player since the summer of 2011. Initially, I just dabbled in quests and the occasional random dungeon and tried not to die. When Pandaria came out, I pretty much stuck to the same thing, leveled up a second, then a third alt to max, and learned how to raid with a guild.
You can PVP, which is a completely different world to the PVE experience that I enjoy. I completely suck at it, but there are times when I did enjoy it enough to play through the suck. Lots of people never see the PVE side of the game because they love the PVP.
I also became an achievement hunter during Pandaria. I'm nowhere near complete with it, but there were so many achievements that took weeks and months to grind out, and seeing them checked off the list was so satisfying. That led me into collecting mounts because some achievements awarded mounts, and you have to have certain reps to buy mounts (and those reps were also achievements), so now I have so many mounts I can't even remember them all.
During Draenor I got into pet collecting. There's an entire "pet game" built into WoW that spans every continent and every zone in the game and you can spend months, maybe years, trying to get all of them and then get them upgraded to blue quality.
Another "game" that's existed since what? TBC? (someone else get the date for me) is the gold game. That's where you learn how to play the Auction House. Since late Pandaria or early Draenor, this game took on new meaning as it can be used to pay for your sub instead of paying $15/mo in real money. I don't think I paid a single dime for my sub during Draenor except for the first month.
Yet another game within the game that personally enjoy is getting all of the professions up to max level for each xpac. Draenor was the first time I was successful at that, and I used it to play the gold game, the alt game, the achievement game, and the raiding game.
Now, I'm not saying that all of these "games within the game" will keep you from getting bored. I've taken 6-12 month breaks several times since I started playing, including almost all of Legion. In Pandaria, I stopped due to IRL issues with work. In Draenor, I got bored and came back during 6.3. I don't care for Legion at all, so I quit 2 weeks in and I've just come back to the game 3-4 weeks ago when BFA was announced. Now I'm trying to get my fleet of alts up to 110 along with their professions so that I can be ready to give BFA a chance this Fall when it releases. That's what is so great about this game, though: Just because you quit paying for the sub doesn't mean you lose everything...take 6 months off, come back, and pick up right where you left off.
Hate to say it but if you dread quests then WoW is not for you because that's all there is to progress in the game. During content droughts like there is one now, I level new characters or work on achievements that I don't have.
So many worlds of "wrong" in this answer. You can go from 0 to 110 without ever touching a single quest. You can pet battle from 1-110. You can do gathering professions (
remember that story
about the guy who got to 100 during Draenor, and he never left the Panda starter zone, only leveling through gathering herbs and ores?) and very slowly level your way up. You can PVP your way to max level. Questing is only a single avenue, but you can choose how you level.

Open the group finder (Icon with a circle with a green eye inside it) and go to the Player vs Player tab. At low levels you should be able to do arena skirmishes and battlegrounds.
To buy game time with gold go to the auction house and buy a
Wow Token
. On North American realms recently the price has been about 180000 gold for 30 days of game time.

Thank you for the info! one last question, whats a good way to make gold to Buy the token? can someone point me towards a good guide?

Sort by the ones for Legion in the far right corner and ignore any for expansions before Legion as they're out of date and the info may not apply.

If i buy the complete collection of World of Warcraft, will i be able to play the other expansions immediately? (obviously excluding BFA).
Once you are of the proper level yes.

World of Warcraft is an amazing game.
Note: There are many many many many many many many many many many, did I say, "Many?" many many many many many many many many many bugs.
And they'll only fix 1:100.
However, we can all talk about Talina the World Crasher, and know what happened. So, it makes it fun.
But the time you get for your money, is worth it.
