Depends on team set-up

Some basic rules:

-Mace for control
-Sword for burst
-Axes for...

In 2v2:

with a healer ( pal/priest/druid ): mace
sword can be more interesting with a resto shaman or in a dual dps team like ret/war or feral/war.

In 3v3: I tried 2 kinds of 3v3 set-up

ret/war/shaman: sword all the way. burst burst BURST
mage/war/druid: mace

In 5v5

sword for burst

P.S: Since you are an orc, axe could be considered in a burst set-up. The expertise you get can be interesting.
