This is a LIFE SAVER. I cannot begin to convey the frustration of receiving an UNUSABLE item because master looter wasn't paying attention. Blizzard finally got one right.

Finally, Collaborative Ninjas such as myself and my buddies can ALL roll on an item that one of us needs, and if we win it we can trade it to the person who needs it... Basically increases our chances of winning an item in a PUG from 1/25 to 4/25 =D

I think this idea might make sense in general but in some cases I can see it being exploited. I can already see people in guilds that run dkp bidding on items as offspec (dkp free) then passing it to their friends for whom they are mainspec. As well as pugs getting robbed blind by groups of friends.

That completely depends on the guild. Some guilds charge for OS, MS just has priority. Not to mention people tend to know one another in a guild... if the GL is suspicious then have the said player prove he has the item...

personally, i'm a fan of this!
sure, it could be exploited, but honestly it is no different than someone winning a roll, opening a ticket and lying about who it should have gone to and giving it to their friend that way.
it'll also put some pressure on those "sure, i'll open a ticket..." people who then never do.
i see this being exploited more in PuGs anyway. if you're in a guild where you think this could be a problem, i suggest finding a new guild.

Frostbrand Weapon
Fire Resistance Totem
Frozen Power
Frost Shock is kind of memorable though, for some reason.

Folks-
One of the ways that I think this might be useful is as follows...
It will allow the raid leader to collect all of the loot, then deal with loot sharing at the end of the raid. This way, everybody will be able to bid/roll, knowing all that has dropped. The process can also be less-rushed, as you're not trying to distribute the loot quickly so the group can move on. End-of-the-raid loot sharing should also discourage people from bailing mid-raid.
