I personally believe that the oracle set better takes into account the fact that priests can serve different functions in raids than just healing.

well if you have the time and are really motivated, you should get both sets. use transcendence when healing in raids or parties, and use the oracle when you are PVPing and are in need of some pawnage.

but hey, thats just me :)

i think this is the ultimate disc DPS/Healing set.

for priests like me who want to heal well efficiently, and destroy people efficiently as well

combination of sta/int/spi and mp5 and +dmg/healing as well as healing bonuses i think you'll agree

atleast for me as a disc priest this would be godly, anyway

Despite the work u had on that comparison with transcendence, you deeply fail analizing the set. This is a 5 piece set, and you can complement it with other pieces wich the transcendence set doesnt allow you to. So yes, its a versatile set, with high stamina (usefull for some Naxx / end AQ40 encounters) and some +hit spells also usefull in Naxx.

how it looks on my Night Elf.

It's a quest reward.

After you kill Prophet Skeram, everyone can loot a "Qiraji Lord's Insignia" which give 500 reputation to nozdormu and the right to get quests.

You need item to get this one and boss drop which must be random. The chest has the high reputation need : honored, which is not a problem since a night in AQ gave me 5000 réputation. But to get the dress, you need to win the "Husk of the Old God" which drop i think on the last boss.

Good lord above. I hope they're placeholder images. They do not look pretty.

It seems that this set is all about stamina and mp5, rather than int and +healing (compared to prophecy).

It would be fun with the 3-set proph or trans bonus.

Got some news for you all. This is a DPS set. Period. It has all the stats you need for DPS. Note how the set as a whole gives you less spirit than other stats but instead gives you mana/5 sec, + to hit with spells, + to crit with spells, + to damage/healing, Less chance to resist your spells and more armor. The set bonus that heals you for a % of what you heal others, that includes healing from Vampiric embrace as well.

Mana regen for a dps caster is always more important than spirit because you will be spending more time inside the 5 sec rule (the 5 sec after you cast a spell in which you get no mana regen from spirit). Mana regen gear gives you mana all the time. The rest of the bonuses speak for themselves.

It's very possible to have over 100 mana/5 sec from gear. For those that can't do math, that's 1200 mana a min WHILE casting non stop. Here is my gear wish list as a dps priest: CTProfile

6k mana, 113 m/5sec, +297 shadow dmg, 1k armor.
