Honestly? I wish they would give EVERY city, includind Shat and Dal, portals to the cata zones and other cities.

In my experience IF was always worse than SW before TBC.

I think separating the factions actually makes each major city much better. If you took all the people in SW AND Org, and stuck them in one location, then you'd have another lagfest. However, currently, they are split up which helps out a lot.

Of course, I also agree that they should open up the other major cities, and add all relative trainers/portals to all those cities. Or at least have one major city for each faction on each island.

But it wasn't all of SW and Org.

We used to have three lag cities.

SW, Org, and Dal.

What they did, was take one of those and split it between the other two which were already almost as bad.

my 2 ultimate favorite cities (Silvermoon and Darnassus) have been allways ghost towns even when they were brand new.

Its true, blizz kinda droped the ball in cata.

I mean, why are stormwind and orgrimmar the center of the world? because that's where the portals are. Plain and simple. The portals to all 5 cata-zones (as well as tol barad) are located only in those 2. And in hyjal, the only portals there are also to those 2.

It would had been a better move to simply add an earthen shrine at ALL major capitals of the alliance and horde (God knows there's plenty of space in all of them) to spice things up a bit and for a change let THE PLAYER choose what capital to adopt as their main hub.

Maybe they will consider this for the next expansion.

Blizz? Give us choices? lol

ejem,,,, they've already gave us a few (just a FEW) parts of the game where we can choose what to do. For example, on that horde quest in hillsbrad where those humans are buried, and you got a shovel, the quest lets you choose to either smash their heads with the shovel, or use the shovel to dig them out. Either way the quest is completed.

Likewise another quest in Twilight Highlands involves the wildhammer dwarves ordering you to kill some wounded dragonmaw villagers, you can choose to help them up, or kill them, the quest is completed either way.

So yes, while it IS rare for blizz to let us choose what to do, it has happened before.

Not really. You could do anything in one major city you could do in the others, so I could just as easily go to Undercity and avoid lag. Dalaran really clumped everyone right together, and you had to go there. Same with Org. I found on the Alliance servers I played people actually preferred IF to Stormwind.
