10-15 hours is more than enough to fully experience the game. You get one free 100 boost with the purchase of Legion (and I think a free 90 boost with the starterpack too?).

I can't find any information for the basic game with an free level 90 boost?
The base game, sometimes referred to as "Battlechest" does not come with a level boost, however 30 days of subscription is included with the initial purchase of the license.
The purchase of the Legion expansion includes one free boost to level 100 for a character (which can be used on an existing character or a new character).

If you use your free Legion boost to start a character at level 100, then for you as a new player, 10-15 hours per week should easily bring you to 110 (current max level) within a week or two. I think most people here would say to you, take your time, get used to the systems, and enjoy the leveling content to its fullest.
Once you're in endgame content, you'll easily have enough time to gear up quickly (tons of guides on this site) and enjoy most of what WoW has to offer, but you'll probably need to find more time if you want to join a guild that is running current raids.
Good luck and welcome to the game. :)

The time you have to devote to this game is just fine. Welcome to the World of Azeroth!

10-15 hours a week is more than enough for you to enjoy every aspect of the game.. but my sincere advise is don't use the boost for your first toon.
I was lucky to not know anything about the game when I started.. had no idea what the lvl cap was.. no idea what a raid or dungeon was.. felt rich with my first gold coin.. felt insanely strong going back to the starting zone at lvl 35. I didn't even know flying was even possible till I hit 60! I still remember each of these moments clearly. No mount drop or raid completion can compare to any of them.
Make and build your first toon. You'll anyways get a free 100 demon Hunter. And a free lvl 60 (dk). If you save your 100 boost for a toon above lvl 60 (easiest being the dk).. it'll also boost your professions which will help.

AND.....Outland, Draenor and Argus.
The level 100 boost is nice, but I would still recommend playing a character from 1-110 so you know your class and abilities. In the end just enjoy what you play and have fun.

Dear Wow-players,
I would like to begin with Wow. I can play about 10/15 hours a week. Is this enough to fully experience the game, compeed in raids/dungeons?
Do you get one level 100 char with the starterpack and the new expansion?
Yours Sincerly,
Levi
I agree with everyone above me- 10 to 15 hours a week is fine. You'll encounter many who play 40+ hours a week. And many who play just as much, if not less, than you intend to. It's not the amount of time you have, but how you use it and whether
you
are enjoying it.
I will, however, share a different opinion than many in regards to the boost: use it. The game truly starts at max level. If you've never stepped foot in WoW before, it's a long journey to get from level 1 to 110. And one that is easy to be deterred from, or become frustrated with. Especially as you won't have the advantages a max-level character brings to leveling alts (heirlooms, gold source, etc.).
Spend some time going through the class trials. They're your way to try each class out at level 100. Then go for the boost on whatever class you liked the most, and enjoy!

I would say that would be enough time. I mean even some better players only play that much weekly for raiding and progression. It really depends on what you want to take part in and complete. You could spend thousands of hours farming old content and things like that for rare items and mounts. If you just wanted to just hop on enjoy the quests, do some dungeons and maybe join a guild. 15 hours is more then enough for that in my opinion. It only takes about 10 hours of actual game play to get to 110 from 100. For a brand new player this will obviously be increased for the time it takes to learn all the mechanics and locations and different things in the game.
They have also made the game much better for people just coming into wow. Like people have said above me you get a 100 level character boost when you purchase the expansion. You will be able to follow the quest line until you are 110.. On the other hand you could start a brand new level 1 character. I would actually recommend this. If you havent completed the content a whole bunch like the rest of us you really will get an amazing game play experience. It is amazingly fun the first time around. It almost feels endless when you first start and quite overwhelming.
So in conclusion playing 15 hours a week would be more then enough to experience the game. Sure it might take you longer to get through it all then someone who plays 30 or 40 hours a week. however, you will get there none the less. You will find yourself making friends and gearing up and probably will find yourself online more then that. If you happen to get addicted to the game like i would assume most of us did then you will surely play more then that ;].
All in all I hope you make it into the game and enjoy the crap out of it! Come on down to Azeroth town Feat. Outlands, Northrend, Pandaria, Draenor, and argus!
