It's been a long time since I leveled my Tailor, but the main materials you're going to need are the different types of cloth, which drop of all humanoid mobs, and thread, which you can buy from Tailoring vendors in cities/towns.

Other than that I suggest using a guide like the one on WoW Professions as to see the best places to farm your materials, and the quickest and cheapest way to level your Tailoring.

Note: Never pay for a guide, anything in such guides can be found for free elsewhere!
