Stormwind is so much better laid out than Ogrimmar or Silvermoon. Ogr involves so many serpentine roads and poorly placed elevators I'm amazed anyone makes their way around it, and Silvermoon is even worse. It's like the horde are trying to show off how bad they are at architecture.

Undercity is the worst for new players. I got so lost in there...

I know a guy who got lost in UC for 15 minutes. Eventually, I had to go and retrieve him.

Personally, when I need a captial city to do banking/AH, UC can't be beat. I can hop between the bank, AH, a repair vendor, and any of the trainers in short order.

I prefer TB. Its open plan, has no stairs to fall off, no people draining my FPS if im on my laptop, and the AH -> mailbox distance is tiny. All of which help when I just want to do auctions and stuff while chatting on facebook.

For trainers it depends on the toon. My shammy and druid use TB, my lock UC, and my pally uses SMC because i keep forgetting to move my hearthstone :P

Though it's confusing for old-timers, this is how it should be. Night Elves were so seperated before, having to run through Wetlands to play with other classes. I liked the early days nonetheless, but today that most players are at such a high level, it is fair that Alliance players get the same starting point connection as sons and daughters of the Horde.

Regarding how convenient or unconvenient the major cities are is not really an issue. It's a near non-PvP area, you get rested (experience) just by walking throughout the city and they are not really that hard.

I've played Alliance for my entire WoW life, and I know my way around everything in Undercity, Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff (where leaders are, auction houses, entrances and in general how to get from point A to B). If you have such big problems getting around any of the cities, it just says more about your bad geographical skills in my opinion.

This is absurd! I demand that Blizzard changes it back and as an apology, make it so Night Elves and Draeneis MUST travel to Irongforge once they reach level 10 and make it so the only way is via walking. And, as a cherry on top, Blizzard must offer seats to seasoned players to witness the carnage! These are my demands, Blizzard, heed them!

As a paying customer, I'm sure Blizzard should heed your commands.

...Now, rather than telling us, try demanding it to them?

I play mostly alliance and i think their cities are better organized for some reason. But mostly because im' used to them...

back on topic... I had just recently returned and started over. I have a lvl 23 human and went to menethil bay thinking i'd hop over to auberdine to get to ashenvale. While waiting for the boat, a lvl 70 asks me why i would be getting on that boat. I thought he was an idiot until I saw that the boat now goes to northrend.

Now, I wouldn't care so much, except that i had just hiked from loch modan to menethil, and now had to fly back to stormwind to ride the boat to auberdine.

ugh... oh well.
