The door to the cellar/basement/whatever is on the ground-floor of the building, to find it enter the building, go to the room with the stairs, on the right hand side of that room there should be a tiny door leading downstairs. Hope i helped, :) EDIT: Not everyone has co-ordinate addons, plus 75,78 is hardly a direction to the basement-door. EDIT II: Found an easy way to see him, press CTRL+V when your chat-window isn't open, turns on Nameplates, making him easier to see

This is just a guess.. just throwing it out there.... this Mataus guy must be a RARE? I just ran to the basement and there is no quest giver, nor is a Mataus the Wrathcaster there. Is it a Death Knight thing or did blizzard decide to erase it all?

He was originally part of the Scarlet Crusade, you could find him at Light's Hope discussing things with others from the Brotherhood of the Light, Argend Dawn, and other Scarlet Crusade members.

Guess he died somehow... Went from being a 60 elite with 122k hp to a level 42 undead with close to none.

He never did show me why they call him the Wrathcaster... It will always be a mystery.

Thank you Deathsaber, you have doubtless saved many players a considerable amount of time wasted in a frustrating search for the elusive Wrathcaster.

Your advice about turning on nameplates is sound, and there is also another similar method players can use to locate hard to find NPCs... you can use a targeting macro with the NPC's name (e.g. /tar Mataus the Wrathcaster) and if they are anywhere in the area their icon will appear at the top of the screen; then you can select a targeting icon (Skull, green triangle etc) which will be visible even if they are inside buildings, behind objects, on different levels etc.
Particularly handy for NPCs who are on the move, and a great help in places like Booty Bay!

He was originally a member of the Scarlet Crusade and was killed by Balzannar and serves the legion in death. He used to be part of the T3 set quest ofr warlocks but that changed when naxxramas went to northrend.
Now he is in a basement.
In death, working for those who, in life, he tried to destroy.

Walk in castle, turn right, turn left, turn left again, slowly walk down hall, swords on left, burning sconce on right, just passed those look to the right there is a open door leading downstairs. If you go into the room with the green rug you went too far.
