I would pay a lot of gold, for this mount.

AS of 3.0.8 the flight is as fast as any other normal flight master's

this seems to be the same type of flying mount you get in northrend when you are dead.

You're able to ride this in Northrend as a ghost (Icecrown, Storm Peaks, and some others I'm not sure of). When I'm bored I usually fly in a worthless set of armor.

Only Plaguewood tower has a Spectral Gryphon master. Too bad, would be convenient with a quick flight between Light's Hope Chapel - Stratholme.

Can I ask what happens in patch 4.03 ? I saw some people flying in azeroth with that mount and when I found out were to get it I didnt know what to do for there were no towers to control, so i just did the full caravan achi but still nothing. How do I find this guy ?

capture the plaguewood tower where he is and u can take a spirit bird to your choice of the other 3 towers in epl

This is part of the Eastern Plaguelands World PVP Quest to take the towers. When you Take the Plaguewood tower, this guy appears and you can fly to one of the other Towers on a Spectral Griffin - VERY cool

Make sure you get the Quest from the guy at Lights hope Chapel
