Actually, since Spirit increases both health and mana regen it's a very good stat for warlocks while levelling... basically you get double use from Spirit while regenerating after using Lifetap to top up your mana. Which makes this a very nice chest for a warlock, although really it's good for any caster.

Spirit < everything for Locks... Drain Life/Lifetap. Stack Stamina and Shadow Damage instead. *Edit:// I no longer believe that this is actually better than the for a Warlock... Great priest healer robes, that's about it.

Well Robes of The Lich are considered the best warlock robes at this level, if they don't drop, or that mage got them or for whatever reasons you don't/can't get them, these are a decent alternative.Decent.

Im a priest and got this at a guildrun to Uldaman last week. I won the roll over a warlock, haha. Think this is a very nice cloth chest.

did this instance two times and got it the 2nd time at lvl 41 then hit 42 to wear it right after. looks wayyy uglier than robe of power, but the stamina, spirit and armor makes up for the loss of int and +heal/dmg.

Im a 42 priest. I got this my first Uldaman run.
It's good but it looks sooo bad. What the hell were they thinking when they designed this? Anyway, im just gonna get my guilds tabard and put it on over this.

P.S. How the hell are you supposed to kill the boss at the end of the instance?

it is hot easy but there is the way - let tank to takn him and one dmg dealer to stay on him while the rest take care of the adds - then when he has around 20% he scream something and summon 2 golems + something -- at this time all the ppl must concentrate on the boss and let the adds (when he die all the others die too) - let your tank use chalanging shout and shield wall when the adds are about to kill some1 from you party. (not sure if the adds can be feared (if yes do it)).

I got excited when I saw the spirit on this chest, but when I tested it against my Robes of the Lich I realized that it's a loss of 10 stamina and 5 int for a gain of only about 4 mana/tick. Now I have both but honestly don't know if the small bit of mana regen gain is worth loss in stats especially when you factor in the sheer ugliness of this piece.

I recently picked this up myself. I'm a mage, but 20 fecking spirit and a slight int downgrade is worth it from those god-forsaken Robes of Argual I've been wearing since lv. 24. I've got plenty of int already. :P It's not a fecking robe, either. Shweet.

This is a priest item, warlocks want robes of the lich, and if they can't get that they should stay with the blood robe, after that robes of servitude are the next upgrade not including rare drops and boe's. mage's need spi more than locks, but not nearly as much as priests, and there are many robes that are much better for them. Any lock who takes this is a fool imo.

This actually looks pretty good on me, if you're a human male and wear a Formal white shirt underneath. Plus the rest of my gear is white or grey, so it's ok looking. And the spirit is pretty wicked.

was better then night by far. i mean 3 int doesnt make a difference that far up, but its a very good boost of spirit. locks have the fel stamina (demonolgy spec) which drops ur spirit, so if u can get it back, then by all means do so.

No actually locks should avoid rolling on spirit items because what you really, really need as a lock is stamina. Locks have no defense besides a the independant body that is a minion and it isn't always right there to play armour bot. That's the most annoying part about playing a lock in instances cause if your priest is a dummy..heheh.. well basically locks are bait in flesh and blood.

Leave stam. items for locks, int. for mage, spirit for priest. Priest needs spirit over all to keep your bloody a** alive. If u don't know what spirit IS, I suggest you google "spirit WoW" & there should really be no question about it, ever again.

I had the Robes of Arugal for far too long. This was my upgrade. It does look pretty ugly in that picture of a gnome, but honestly, in my opinion, one of my favorite things about this vest is how it looks! I have it on my undead mage and she looks cool not having a robe.

Just so some of you ppl know, mages get bonus mana from int, warriors bonus from strength etc. But priests get bonus from spirit. We can run oom 'during' a fight & still be able to heal your asses. Because if a priest stacks up with spirit, they will regen mana/heal faster than the mobs beating on your skulls can dps.

Any lock that isn't stacking stam/damage/int (in that order) is clueless. Sure you might stagger your way through the game & think your way must be right because you never pull agro off your pet/tank's in instances. But trust me, you can make your char better if you listen to ppl & not try to be a pioneer of the 'better way to play a lock according to me' Life tap & drain life is your spirit, use it.

This applies to other classes too, singled out locks because I was blown away that anyone who has played one for more than 5 minutes would ever think about rolling on this pos lock item/godly priest item.

If I was looking at this item as a lock, all I would see is '10 stam 5 int, hmm I could prolly get a lvl 35 green item better than this'.

Match the stuff from this run up with the other priest/caster items I got from Scarlett Monastery (the hat from Whitemane) and you've got one butt ugly toon. Good blues, but my toon looks hella awkward...like some cross-dressing undead chick in pantaloons and a hat she shouldn't have bought from a vintage store

As a priest I'm disappointed they took away that nice +spirit. Not that I'm complaining about the +dmg/heal but hey, I prided myself on my mana regen back in the day, and this really aided to it.

Got this the other day from Grimlok (after 4 tries). Its really a beauty if you are a Mage focused on Spirit for regeneration. If you think +5 int is too low you can always complement your int with other gear. I hardly have any downtime to refill mana now with my level 46 mage using Mage Armor and high focus on spirit gear. And when I am empty I cast evocation which has by then cooled down since last refill. This becomes even more important when you play the long fights where you are not able to drink during fights. A mage has to be careful so that he doesnt get aggro so you can hardly dish out all your firepower except to finish someone off.

It rocks on my lvl 44 shadow priest. I put a lot of + spirit gear on, which, combined with Spirit Tap gives me very little downtime (and saves me cash on drinks).

And the + stamina is gravy.

Definitely a nice upgrade for a Disc/Holy priest if you're still wearing the Robe of Doan. Although I would suggest to hide that thing under a tabard...

hmmm... 'robes of the lich' rip all over this, and Razorfen Downs is SO much faster/easier to get through. maybe for casters other than mages its good, but a good mage doesn't really use spirit... having said that, the extra spell damage is nice.
