It's bollocks that you get a better droprate when you get 300 in skinning. After getting 300 in skinning the only difference i got when skinning the whelps was _less_ worn dragonscales. That I'm getting less is just bad luck and it will even out in the long run - but I doubt that getting to 300 jumped the probability noticeable higher like the man posting above me claims.

As it sais in the title: for hunters, %crit is only beneficial if your dps is higher than 95,33. Check out the calculations on TKA Something's FAQ: Attack Power, Weapon Speed, Damage

I have these on my bank since lvl 39, I just hit lvl 42 - but I'm still not wearing them... I need 2 more dps :)

Another reason these things are awesome is that they are a guaranteed Small Radiant shard when Disenchanting. Those go for like 8-9g at auction house and are always in demand. So, even if these don't sell, ship 'em to your enchanter and make some gold that way. The mats are all relatively cheap, so these things are actually a great way to make gold. If you just buy the materials, it'll cost you about 6g total, and that's without leaving the AH. Each one you make will net you about 2-3g. Nice little trick when you're saving up for something. for these gaunts tell ya the truth best there is till you got some of the considerably higher armor the 1 percent crit really makes a dif if your wearing say a full suit of tough scorpid with the agilty already in it wonderful.

There is enchants for agilty to gloves thats what i ended up doing makes it more fun.

I sell these on bloodhoof for 8 to 10 gold and thats usually undercutting the ah prices and i rarely make em pain in the but getting worn dragonscales as im sure alot of you skinners already know

but if your a hunter this is probably the best investment im level 50 now and still use em at least till i get something better

These are pretty good for pvp. Yes atp might be better in the level 40s and 50s for sustained damage. But in pvp you want burst damage, and that is where crit % comes in.

I'm a noob who always seems to hold on to old bad pieces until way after they've become worthless, BUT I had these until I replaced them with GIANTSTALKER gloves at 60. I got sick of them after awhile, but these were really really good and really cool looking for the first ten levels.

get the gloves from SM armoy, the AP bonus is so much sexier, I am a hunter, and really the dif between the 2 is hardly noticable, I crit a lot as it is, so the 1% wouldnt be as notiable as the (if i remember correctly as im not on wow now) 32 ap from the gloves, for max potential, use the gloves and raging beserker helm, if your a 40-44 hunter,

Yo, I just got these on my shaman for 5g from some hunter on my server. They seem nice, iam a DPS shaman (enhancment) so i could use the extra crit chance and what not. They dont seem to bad, i have herods helm, shoulders, pants, chest, belt bracers, so iam basically set. But i got tired of waiting for divintity, so i just got these. Tell me what you guys think, if you think its a better idea to wait for divinvit, even longer than i will, ill just sell the gloves

Ok, I'm still kind of new when it comes to these formulas, so the question I have is, for say, a level 50 Hunter are these gloves better than the Tough Scorpid gloves? Is a +14 to critical hit better than the +10 agility of the scorpid gloves (given that the Hunter also looses some ap and dodge percentage and the pet looses some as well). Sorry if this is a redundant question, just trying to figure out if they are worth it before I put in the huge effort to farm the scales for them.

FYI: The Tough Scorpid set is tough to beat for a Hunter when you hit 40 and can wear mail, since 3 of the items can be used at 40--and you have time to think about the rest later. You can farm scorpid scales from scorpids in Tanaris, just outside Gadgetstan. With 24 scales and the other (easy to get) ingredients, you can get a leatherworker to make them for you and have 3 high-agility items waiting for you when you hit 40. If you put enchants on them, like +6 mana/5 sec on the chest, you will have made yourself what are essentially blue items. Something to think about until you outfit yourself with true blues by 45 or so...

I didn't even notice this till a scale dropped in Feralas, being 236 I should have aleady had it if it was actually a trainer item. It should be marked also as quest if you need to do one in addition.

I got the training, but I wasn't aware of the specialities till the quest giver explained it in detail. The quest giver in Feralas didn't do that and I'm 2 quest into tribal, I will not be able to get every thing but it looks like I'll have access to some.

Reading up on it more I should be going dragonscale anyway being a hunter. My 70 Alch didn't have to pick a speciality till 300 and that was in Outlands, so I wasn't expecting it at 225.

Since I'm not a Badlands quester much (that eastern welp quest took over 2 hours last time and everytime I did Uldaman nothing but squishy stuff dropped), thanks for the info guys

For some reason, in Classic when you craft these gloves they do not appear in you bag. You have to re-log for them to appear. I've crafted them 2 times, and both times they were missing from my inventory, only to appear after relogging.

These are definitely better than the 神聖護手, which give +32 Attack Power (roughly equals 16 Agility). These give the same amount of stam, some extra spirit, and the 1% crit strike, which is worth roughly 56 Agility. The +1% Crit in particular on this make it a better option, and you'll use it well past BRD. Either the epic Holy Flame drop or the Divinity gloves are the only other two contenders in the Mail category, and these beat those out a fair bit IMHO.

TL;DR: These gloves are better than Divinity and Holy Flame. Enchant with +5/+7 Agi and these will last you until the mid-50's.
