The main use of Invisibility in PVE is to wipe your threat. Once you've gone invisible (now a 3 second cast, instant cast talented) your aggro is reset, and you can right click the buff to phase back with zero threat. Increasing the amount of time of invisibility is utterly useless for PVE.

For BG and Arena, this glyph has minor uses, where the mage could hide for a longer period of time, or travel without being seen to get past people, but a 5 second buff is not very useful at all.

Useful for levelling and the solo-grinding mage. A lot of times when I didnt have my flyer or was stuck in a cave, I would use Invisibility to bypass tightly packed groups of mobs. 5 more seconds gives you more time to reach a safe zone or exit the cave.

This is actually very useful for doing stealth runs of instances to get the Elder coins for the lunar festival and things like that. It was instrumental in getting me the Halls of Stone and Drak'Theran Keep coins solo.

With Prismatic Cloak (instafade) and this glyph (the Cataclysm version), you essentially have your own sprint as long as you don't cast anything :)

Would prefer this removed dots as that's pretty much the only thing that keeps Invis from being useful in PvP unless your long CD IB is up. Wouldn't be OP considering rogues have one on a much lower CD.

The best use I have found for this glyph? Tower Defense.

Quite often a few people will rush to dun baldar or frostwolf village, cap the 2 bunkers/towers, and then go wandering around, assuming nobody else is around. What you do is shortly after the bunker/tower gets capped, return (H) to your base, but right before your recall actually finishes hit invisibility.

If you are specced into prismatic cloak you won't appear at all to the enemy when you arrive. Without this glyph you will get roughly into the bottom of the tower before invisibility runs out, but with it you will get all the way to flag, and be able to position yourself in a slightly more discreet position than normal.

Obviously a very situational use, but it really was a godsend for me. Now, go forth and win AV.
