I'd like to point out, by comparison to many other wands I've seen, this thing is TERRIBLY over-budget. Compare especially to something like Wand of the San'layn (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=37177) and you'll see by how much. Item lvl 146 this is not.

I may just be unlucky with drops, but i have a really hard time getting rid of this rod. I've seen rods in Naxx10 and naxx25 trash be "worse" than this one due to the hit+haste combo with a nice amount of damage.

Very useful for casters trying to solo scholomance, since a number of mobs there are immune to every spell damage except holy. If you need to farm Argent Dawn reputation, be sure not to disenchant or sell it after getting a better wand.

A wand is never used for it's damage unless you are out of mana. If that happens you might as well use your staff for it's melee damage. A wand is only there for the added stats like an amulet or ring. This is available at level 74 and has better stats (at least for a shadow priest) than any other wand pre level 80 except for two Sunwell wands that are not obtainable by most players.
