In other words, works as expected with the exception that the Judgements are treated as non-spells.

Appears to have approximately 45s internal cooldown with a very high proc chance.

For beta build 8820:
This is good for a frost DK. If you have the Killing Machine talent, despite only procing on two of your abilities, your melee crits make your next frost spell crit so it sorta indirectly procs this trinket. And when the trinket procs it allows you a higher chance to proc Killing Machine.

Overall, I'd say this procs, for a frost DK, reasonably often. And with cinderglacier rune, you have more potential for burst.

This also works well with unholy's talent wandering plague which allows your dots to crit.

trinket 1 + trinket 2 is the best lvling up trinkets for enh shamans in my opinion. Because you will get more then 400 crit rating with these two. And they stac ( if that one wasn't obvious )

167*10/(45+avg spell crit time)=~37 crit rating avg from procc.
38 crit rating from equip, ~37 from procc, that's 75 crit rating total, which means about 3.39% crit at level 70.
It proccs from all spells that cost mana, damaging spells and healing spells.

Edit: After using the trinket for a few hours it has not proceed for me. I never received the Star of Light buff that is supposed to proc. I think it's fair to say that it does not work for Hunter shots.

I find this trinket prety handy as a fire mage, it helps with getting hot streak procs and also increases the chance that the pyro will crit.
Has anyone come across anything blue or epic with a similar effect at level 80?

This is also nice for balance druids, since we crit a lot (especially with Eclipse for Starfire--+20% crit on it). So, I have this proccing very frequently and it adds considerably to damage and mana amounts (mana restore/crit)

This thing proc's nearly every time I cast blizzard as a frost mage with a group of 3 or greater mobs, the extra crits increase my DPS an insane amount. Try it, you'll like it.

I've been using this as a shadow priest, and I have seen no procs on any of my shadow spells. This includes MF, MB and SWD. It procs just fine when I use healing spells. Kinda sucks I was looking forward to this trinket!

I would say that this is an excellent enhancement shaman trinket, as at level 70 I am specced 51 in enhancement, and then into Elemental. It does stack with Elemental Devastation, which overall for me gives me ~17% bonus crit, going from 20% to around 37%.

No doubt this is good for Elemental Shamans too.

As a Frost/Blood Dk I picked this trinket up on a curiosity. However it only procs on 2 of my spells, It procs at an insane rate. Stacking with Death Knights Anguish is really nice. This trinket will proc off of Icy Touch and Howling Blast. Haven't tried Death Coil, Blood Boil or Pestilence just yet. Plague/Frost/Blood/Death Strikes will not proc it. I don't have Scourge Strike, but I am sure its in the realm of the preceding strikes.

Did a quick run to Nexus after getting this for my frost mage. Blizzard had 61,5% crit rate and this seemed to proc all the time :) Very nice tool and you don't need to remember to activate it.

Incredible trinket for a resto shaman. It currently has a chance proc when an earthshield rock is consumed. I hope that doesn't change!

Also i'd like to note that now this trinket is extremely powerful vs. undead as ret paladin.
Exorcism is a 100% crit chance against undead, so you will see a lot of procs from this while fighting them

This trinket along with Death Knight's Anguish can lead to some very, very high crit rating if both of these proc at the same time.

I'm currently using them on my Enh shaman, and it's just a dream when both of them are proc'd and I Stormstrike/WF.

Ok, I did some tests with this on my mage and here's the results. I cast repeated scorches on a level 70 target dummy. My mage is 80 so I used the level 70 dummy to avoid any issues with spell hit. I used scorch because I'm fire spec and I have the talent the gives scorches a greater crit chance than fireball plus I can cast more scorches with the same amount of mana.

I did a series of tests using scorch and casting them using increasing delays between scorches. What I found was that as I increased the time between scorches the chance of the trinket triggering when a crit occured slowly went up reaching a peak of 30% to 35% at approximately 30 seconds between crits. Beyond a 30 second delay between crits the chance of triggering did not increase, it remained flat at 30% to 35%.

From these results it's clear to me that the trinket has a hidden 30 second cooldown not 45 seconds and that the chance of it triggering is somewhere between 30% to 35% per crit. That means that if you crit more often than once every 30 seconds those crits won't trigger the trinket and that if you have a high crit rate or use fast casting spells you're better off with a trinket that has plus damage or haste.

Totally pants trinket for a Shadow Priest :/ ... does not proc from DoTs and will not proc from Mind Blast even. At level 70, without Mind Sear this is rubbish.

Any Warlocks who have tested this out on their DoTs or staight-forward damage spells?

For dps casters, this trinket coupled with the Thunder Capacitor is very powerful thanks to it's chance to add major crit rating following a critical hit, consequently increasing the chance to add another "Thunder Charge".

These two trinkets are even stronger for people who are able to get hands on lvl 77-79 cataclysm gear since crit chance will be as high as 40% on full gear.

It is also the only Northrend low level trinket that provides a sudden boost on crit chance.
