280% mount, Netherwing faction in Shadowmoon Valley rep grind

To get rep you can:

A Slow Death (Daily) 250 rep
Get 12 Fel Glands from the nether rays on Netherwing Ledge, use these along with the quest item you received to poison the orcs working all around the ledge.

Netherdust Pollen (Daily) 250 rep
This is the quest for herbalist, simple enough gather 40 pollen from the netherdust bushes found around the ledge. There is a identical quest for miners and skinners.

Netherwing crystal (Daily) 250 rep
Collect 40 Netherwing crystals. These drop off of the flayers on the ledge and any mobs in the mines south of the encampment. I personally had the best drop rates off of the fallen in the back of the mine, but different people reported better drop rates for different things.

Not so friendly skies (Daily)
Get 10 Netherwing relics from the Dragonmaw transporters flying between Netherwing ledge and the Dragonmaw Fortress. Land on one of the floating islands between the island and the land and use ranged attacks to pull the transporters to you. Fast, quick, quest, though their aimed shot hits for a lot so if you see the bow come out for a long time try to stun them.

Great Netherwing egg hunt (Repeatable) 350 rep first turn in, 250 subsequent turn ins
This is the only completely repeatable quest there is, and it's to turn in a netherwing egg. These eggs can come from anywhere herbs, mining, mob drops, there are even eggs that spawn along the ridge that you can click on to loot. Sadly though, the drop rate on these is incredibly low, I probably only got 15 or so during the entire rep grind. I'm not sure how common the lootable ones will be once the servers are live, I think they take a while to spawn and the server wasn't usually up long enough for them to show up.

Once you are friendly, this quest opens up:::

Overseeing and you: making the right choices 350 rep
Bring 10 knothide leather and 1 tyrannitor hide to the npc to have your weapon crafted. Tryanitor is the level 71 Trex in the far north dome in Netherstorm. Note: the hide is a drop, it is not skinned

When you complete this, these open up:::

The Booterang (Daily) 350 rep
You are given a booterang and have to tame 20 dragonmaw peons with it. Pretty easy, just fly around and look for the peons that are either asleep or are red and mad, the booterang is usable from your mount.

Picking up the pieces (Daily) 350 rep
Collect 15 Nethermine cargo from the mine. Easy, just run around looking for loot-able mine carts.

Dragons are the least of our problems (Daily) 350 rep
Kill 15 Nethermine Flayers are 5 Nethermine Ravagers these aren't hard to find, second path from the left at the second split in the tracks at the mine (first split doesn't matter, both take you to the same place)

Crazed & confused 350 rep
I was kind of surprised that this wasn't daily, but anyway to get to the npc stay left while going through the mines, eventually you'll see a netherdrake, drop down and you'll see the quest npc as you exit that area. The quest is to kill 5 Miners and 1 Foreman, to get to them go to the place with the flayers mentioned in the quest above and head to the right when given the choice.

To get your FREE netherdrake(280%)

A Slow Death (Daily) 250 rep
Gather 12 fel glands which have a 10-30% drop chance off of any mob on the mainland(varying by mob type) then use the Mutton youre provided to poison 12 peon camps found at the bases of crystals around Netherwing Ledge.

Netherdust Pollen (Daily) 250 rep
Herbalist only, reqs 375. Around Dragonmaw Fort and NW Ledge there will be small "bushlike" plants, which have a 1% chance to drop a Netherwing Egg which can be turned in for 350 rep the first time and 250 every time after. These bushes always drop a Netherdust Pollen and can be turned in intervals of 40 per day(daily).

Nethercite Ore (daily) 250 rep
375 miners only. Around the island youll have large black adamantite looking veins. These will have 2-6 mines per node, and have a 1% chance of dropping a Netherwing egg. The ore can be turned in in intervals of 40.

Netherwing crystal (Daily) 250 rep
Get 40 NW crystals. Drops off any mob in Netherwing Ledge, drops 1-2, but has an annoyingly low droprate.

Not so friendly skies (Daily) 250 rep
Between dragonmaw fort and the docks at netherwing ledge lvl 70 orcs on dragons called Transporters will fly between. You must ambush these Transporters to get Relics. 20-30% drop chance, there are 4 usual spots for doing this: In front of the docks (beware the 72 elites), the two large island in between, and the spawnpoint at dragonmaw fort.

Great Netherwing egg hunt (Repeatable) 350 rep first turn in, 250 subsequent turn ins
Netherwing eggs. Oh, so many eggs, such little time. They have a 1% drop off of a nethercite veins, 1% drop off of any mob in Netherwing Ledge, a 1% drop off of the Netherdust bushes, and can be found in spiky looking fleshy eggs around Dragonmaw Fort and NW Ledge. There are about 20 spots I know of, and Ill list them for you:

In the wheelbarrow in the mine beneath the dragonmaw camp on NW Ledge, left entrance.
On the ground in the mine, right entrance.
Beneath the high mine rail in the mines.
Near the supply crates at the end of the circular mine rails.
At the end of circular mine rails.
The mountain southwest off dragonmaw camp on NW ledge which has about two equal peaks.
The mountain after that, at the lower peak.
On the docks, guarded by 2 72 elites.
In the mouth of the dragon skull by the docks.
Past the dragon skull, off the side off the ledge, there is a small cluster of crystals. One spawns there.
IN DRAGONMAW FORT:
In the whelp pens.
In the tower.
In the courtyard.
On the cart by the entrance.
In the ruined hut with a dragonmaw shaman in it.
Also, off of nethercite veins and netherbushes.

Once you are friendly, this quest opens up

A retake of the orc/troll starting zone quest where you have to hit 5 peons who are slacking off with a blackjack. In this, you get a boot that works like a boomerang. Find 20 Lazy Peons (Or Disobediant Dragonmaw Peons in this case) and use the boot on them from your mount. They are either blinded (wandering, with blinded animation), enraged (hostile, will attack you, big and red like bloodlust), or lazy (sleeping on the ground).

This isnt a daily, its weird. Go to the left after the two high/low main rails combine in the mine, and it will end. Jump off, and youll see a big dragon. Go to the right and there will be an NPC There who

who will give you this quest. Go back up to where the flayers/ravagers are, and go as far to the right as you can, and youll see the murkblood. Kill one foreman and 5 miners.

Investigate Twilight Ridge(daily) 500 rep
Annoying, annoying, annoying!!! The overlord tells you to go to Twilight Ridge in Nagrand, which is west of Halaa on the coast of Nagrand/Nether and kill any 20 orcs there. There will be a 72 elite boss patrolling, who hits 2000-3000 on mail, and also 72 elite patrollers that hit for 700-1200 shadow damage.
Revered:
The Deadliest trap ever laid:
At revered, the Overlord in maincamp will tell you to go attack your . Youre not going to do that, instead you will warn the leader of your respective camp about the incoming attack, and you must defend it with the 72 elite with about 10 70s, but about 30 72s spawn. 3 man quest. Nets 500 rep.

Non-daily quests:
There are a few non-dailies that will still give you rep.
Overseer, Rise!
At friendly, you get a trinket thatll summon a lvl 70 whelp thatll fight for you only while youre in shadowmoon. Also gives 250 rep.

Another promotion for Captain(forget name):
At honored, you get ANOTHER trinket that summons the same whelp, but usable anywhere outdoors. They have the same cooldown. Also, 350 rep

Another promotion: You get 500 rep, and a 45 stam and same affect as last trinket. 10 min CD on all.

Barash the Den Mother:
In the center of Netherwing Ledge, in the high mountains, there will be a patrolling elite called Arvoar, which is 2 mannable. He will drop a "partially digested hand" which will let you kill Barash the Den mother, found at the top of the mountain, (2 man), and also 10 of her children found around the mountain. Nets about 500 rep.

Soul Cannon:
At honored, the demon inside the tower by the Overlord will give you a quest to get a soul cannon. Bring him 2 felsteel bars, made by miners, a adamantite frame, which is usually about 20G on AH, or can be bought from the NPCs in netherstorm for 4g each, a khorium power core, 70G average on AH, but can also be bought off of a NPC in area 52, but it is heavily camped. YOu will also need a Arcane Essence, which you get by going to Lake Jorune above Stonebreaker Hold, and talking to Sarthis. He will make you kill 4 elementals, easily soloable, then kill an arcane elem, which is also soloable. The frame/core are made by engineers.

Soul Cannon Part 2:
The demon will give you the cannon to use on his brother in Nagrand at Twilight ridge, far west of Halaa on the coast to the nether. While on your mount( MOUNT, druids cannot use this in flightform), use the cannon on him. Hes a big, angry, red eredar patrolling around. There are multiple strategies to do this, and the cannon has a 60 YD range, and will drain about 1% of his hp every 2 seconds or so. He will melee you if youre within about 15 YD for 2000-3000 on mail and will shoot 700 damage shadowbolt volleys at you (dodgeable) and also fireballs from the sky(like prince/skyshatter) also dodgeable. 500 REP and a half bad socketable green(sell for 3-7g each).

The great murkblood revolt:
Found off of any flayer in the mines, also in Sludge-Covered Objects off of sludges in the mine. They are a peice of paper icon that drops, and it makes you go tell Mistress of the Mines by the mine entrances, then go and find a Foreman, found in back of the flayer area. He will reveal some nice lore info, then cut off his hand for you, and you can go back to the Mistress and claim your rep.

RACES, HO!
At honored, Ja'y Nislow at basecamp will give you a quest to start the races. The races is where you must follow (not beat, just follow) 6 flyers with 220%-280% mount speeds, who will fling multiple items at you which will dismount you and make you fail. The first one flings one pumpkin at a time, then puke on the next guy, then bombs from AV, then lightning bolts, then fireballs. After all of this, you

One you get exaulted, dont do like me and just fly to shat...theres a quest that will fly you there. This way you dont have to turn around go back to neitherwing then back to shat. Its takes about 15 mins more...which a pain in the butt.

9/1/09 I have became exalted with the Netherwing and this Azure Netherwing Drake is the one that I have chosen from the drakes in Shatterath City. My sister, mother, and Father all chosen the Onyx Netherwing Drakes. Now I await my brother-in-law from that sister and my brother and even my other sister and brother-in-law to get theirs.

I was able to get my drake in 5 days just by following a rout for egg collecting that I used whenever going back and forth between the fortress and the ledge.

Got my drake not too long ago, took me about a week of lazy rep grinding. Went to the netherwing ledge, looked around for eggs before picking up the quests. I held onto whatever crystals I had and whatever stuff I had gathered up with mining which was an easy 500rep right off the bat each day. Eggs dont just spawn on the island, check the lil islands ouside the large one, they spawn there sometimes along with gathering nodes.

Also, the mines are your best bet after checking the outside islands and the dragonmaw camp, if you are the only one in there, check the whole thing, the mines is the place where I saw the most eggs just lying around. Kill all the mobs you come across, chances are you will find at least 1 egg out of the bunch, maybe 2 or 3 if you are lucky.

GUYS COOLEST GLITCH EVER

ok if you have the x-53 touring nether rocket and you are nuetral with dragonmaw orcs(like me) mount your nether rocket now it will say you have both the rocket and the drake mount out so right click on the rocket and cancel it, once you do that YOURE SWIMMING IN AIR it is simply amazing i dumbstruk a couple of my friends by doing this and i bieleve i am the first one to discover this glitch =D

I have to say the eggs must have a higher drop then reported above (I assume cata boosted). If you want to shorten your booteranging, run the mines in the dead of night or morning when the servers are empty. I was getting 3 to 5 eggs. Course the flayers and worms are so packed in there it is a busy run for anyone before level 80.

So i wanted to ask, i read somewhere that this mount was only summonable in Outland and Northrend. I'm hoping it was outdated and meant that for WotLK. Is that true or is it a normal flying mount that can be flown everywhere? I want to know for sure before i dedicate time to getting it.

This is the colour of the "basic" netherdrakes that you can find around Outland. It's the same as the ones that the Dragonmaw NPCs ride, and the same as the ones that fly near Dragonmaw Fortress.

Confirmed, the Netherwing Drake mounts ARE available in 4.2 as well as the soon approaching 4.3 Blizzard has no intentions of removing the beloved Netherwing Drake mounts for a very long time, if ever.

Unfortunately you're not able to ride a drake the exact color which is used for the mounted Fel Orc costume.. It is a combination of the Cobalt, Purple, and Violet color choices though. Fun fact: All drakes will change into this special coloured drake when you enter Netherwing Ledge thereafter.

A flying mount is required for this reputation grind, and 300 riding skill is necessary to advance past neutral. . The quest chain begins with the quest Kindness. Completion of this quest line will provide an instant reputation boost to neutral. The eggs found in the caves (mostly) and outside the area (rarely) are worth 250-300 rep points each.

btw dont worry about color. If you don't like the drake u picked u can always buy another one for 200g, sold by Drake Dealer Hurlunk at the Dragonmaw camp (Netherwing Ledge), he's standing next to the forge.

After you hit honored, a lot more quests open, and even more at revered. I was able to go from revered to exalted in 4 days rather easily. There are some hot-spots for the Netherwing Eggs, but other than that it was a VERY easy grind.

let's get on topic. this specific drake is the best looking. and btw, nobody can grind to exalted within 2 days. you would need quite a lot of eggs, and that's pretty much impossible to obtain that many. the key is that once you get to honored/revered, more dailies open up which also offer more rep. makes it go fast, if you apply yourself you can get from 0/21000 revered to exalted in about a week.

I ground out neutral --> exalted in about a week with a lot of egg farming. Attaining netherwing rep is really great, cause you wind up w/ a free netherwhelp trinket, free riding crop, and of course, the free nether drake mount. :)

I'm almost exalted, just need 4k rep! :D made it to where I am now in 5 days. I dont know if I'll get it tonight or tommorrow cause I only got three dailies left and all the races are done. Hehe... maybe if I'm lucky I'll get the 11 eggs I need tonight... though I doubt it. Oh, and an easy way to glitch the Dragonmaw Netherdrake costume is to press left and right alot while exiting the zone... I ussualy dissapear and when I reapear I'm still on the drake :D
